Im not worried about not making a trade, I also didnt want to move Pat for a role player, Id rather see what value he can add to the team

I mean look at this roster a year ago vs. now ... Im not gonna be upset about not making a move today. Need a big on the buyout market tho

Let me go on record, that I personally wouldn't trade Patrick Williams for jerami Grant simply because I feel he can give us good production at the 4 on a rookie deal which gives us some flexibility for the next couple years

But I'm not blind and going to pretend that we are putting a lot into this pick. I really need him to turn into something good. Because if he simply turns out a guy avg 8 and 4 or some shyt or he continues the injuries then we hindered ourselves for title contention in a stacked east where adding Williams could have gotten us proven commodities. So I really need Williams to turn into something good. Otherwise we will be looking back at this in hindsight the way laker fans are looking at the THT situation.

Ak confirmed today Williams returning this season he said mid March

bulls when healthy had a top 5 net rating, top 10 offense & defense. Covid breakout then injuries destroyed everything but they’ve maintained. They need a big who can rebound & defend the paint , getting zo ,caruso & p will back & a buyout candidate should be enough

As fans, it's our job to be optimistic. I think Pat will be good. Very good, actually. I think the team around him is going to bring out the best in him. If Ayo and Coby are anything to go off of, we've built a good environment for developing young talent. I expect Pat to turn into an OG Anunoby-esque player. But with better touch.
