Ya I don't like the idea of committing to both him and Zach together because of this.

zach has had minimal health issues since being on the bulls. and the games he missed were either covid related or load management his first season here.

demar has been an ironman his entire career though.

I want them to keep all our guards, so when Demar fades in a few years Zach can slide into his role surrounded by 2 of Ayo/Lonzo/Coby/Caruso. Those 4 are a force to be reckoned with.

He has the tear YEARS ago and a minor sprain damn near 4 years later. It's not like he has had knee issues every year. I'm not concerned with Zach until maybe his early 30s

Lonzo is way more expendable to me. Ayo looks like he could be a more complete version as long as he can shoot around 36/37% from 3 consistently

Akme will have to pull off a miracle. I see any move for him as more lateral than progress. I think Grant is good but not worth our last assets. If we get him can we lock ourselves into the finals? Nope.

If it cost us pwill Derrick Jones Jr and a pick or 2 it would tell me akme no longer see pwill as the prospect they once saw him as.

Agreed.
I know something you gotta just go for it but Grant isnt a push all your chips in caliber guy. You trade for him, you are trading for Nuggets era Grant(4th option) not Pistons grant with the big stats

I dont see Grant as a move that really moves the needle enough.

If anything I'd be figuring out how to replace Vuc in the next year

Next year is our real window of opportunity imo....I'd be wary to use all assets to make the push this season

We're looking like 3 to 4 years ahead here in some cases. But the evolution of this Coby/Ayo backcourt and Zach sliding to the 3 as DeMar finishes up his contract has to be in play.

Coby and Ayo are the same age and will only be 25 when DeMar's contract is up. Plus they play well together already. We were thinking Coby would be the asset to be moved coming into this season, but Lonzo may be the odd man out overtime lowkey.

Yea we should investigate playing long game since we do have really good young guys.

Zach is too short to be a 3.....dude is 6'5 in shoes. I see him staying a SG. Coby can be 6th man and still get 30 mins and close games like Herro does in Miami

Lonzo is a bit too streaky and limited. He can hit 3s, play really good defense and run open court

Honestly Ayo can do most of that(time will tell if his shot is legit) but he has better off bounce game and finishing potential. Lonzo isnt a threat to get in the lane so when his 3 ain't dropping, he can be a nonfactor offensively. Ayo looks like he has more tools. Just wish he had Zos height tho

Could see this lineup 2 years from now once Vuc n DeMar are gone

Ayo
Zach
New, younger SF
PW
New younger center

Bench
Coby
Caruso
TBJ(preferably an upgrade)
Simonovic
Cook

I’ll enjoy the ride instead of hypothetical scenarios 3-4 years from now. Current Bulls haven’t even qualified for the playoffs or won a playoff game yet y’all talking about some other stuff based off a handful of games

ayo was supposedly makin Coby expendable according to y’all a few weeks ago now everybody on his dikk. I like the guard depth

Why not both? It's ok to enjoy the current success and still think about future possibilities. Im not knocking anybody or saying blow it up if we dont win a chip this time. Not sure what the big deal is:yeshrug:

I was never on the trade Coby wave, that was maybe 2 misguided nikkas in here. Our guard depth is our greatest strength

Do you think he's expendable with a healthy roster?

It’s been not even half a season , let them play together & see how they do before planning for the future wtf. The bulls healthy were top 10 in offense & defense & lonzo had a lot to do with that

a free agent wanted to come here & now he’s expendable to y’all cuz ayo playing good for a few games :dead: talking bout John collins who gets damn near 80% of his buckets assisted on by an elite passing pg which the bulls don’t have on their roster come on man.

We'll park this discussion for now
:youngsabo:

For the record, I wasn't suggesting making a move for Collins this season anyway.
