That Paul Coelho book "The Alchemist" was the most pointless piece of shyt I've read in the last 15 years though.
When I heard nyggas talking about the Alchemist, I was mad hype. That was one of my favorite reads in High School. But there are two separate largely known "books" by the title. The one you mentioned is not classic literature. The one I love is a play but came out as a book:

For me it was The Great Gatsby and Catcher in the Rye
Came here to post Great Gatsby, read it once, felt nothing. did very poorly on writing assignments. Catcher in the Rye was cool as a youngin, but as an adult, I couldn't finish it. Recently tried to read it again.
Trying to find time to read to kill a Mockingbird real quick, b/c I wan to read the sequel (borrowed from library) since I never read it.
