They mailed it in. It's ok to say that. Used a cheap time travel trope to remove any gravity of IW. Nothing but fan service. A good final battle doesn't excuse the two hours before it.

this is exactly what the GOT writers did with season 8, you can’t say the same for the Russos with how much love when into that movie regarding it’s characters and call backs with it being the end of an era
is the time travel plot for Endgame tropey? Yes, they were never letting all of those hero’s die when they already have whole franchises left, so of course they were bringing them back, but tropey and mailed in aren’t mutually exclusive, it’s cool if you didn’t like it, no one should be tryna change your opinion, but nothing about that movie was “mailed in”, they ended a 10 year long plot in one of the best ways possible, and two of its biggest stars/characters died, so it wasn’t no stakes either

I’ve seen Infintiy War about 10 times now and only seen End Game just once and I have no desire to sit through that movie again. Terrible awful jokestedious plot that seems to drag and even the final battle wasn’t as epic and good to watch as the one in Infinity War. How did they go from making one of the greatest movies of all time to that mess in that short space of time?
