the power of the retcon. (hence RDJ, his past and his past decisions. his relationship with peter, steve)
thanos' screen time was probably 10 mins before IW. RDJ has appeared in something like 10 films.
thanos wasn't even thanos proper (actor, voice, visuals) for much of the early films.
civil war and soldier (both top 8) had unheralded villains.
a compelling villain can be done in one film ... here we have at least 3 to do it.

so nope. it all depends on the scripts.

I'm not saying it's impossible......

I'm saying WE as fans were building up to Thanos for YEARS... The people he was fighting and killing were built up for YEARS... The plot of what he was looking for and why needed about 5 mins of Banner exposition and we was ready for endless action.


What is going on now, is these studios know they can't make magic twice.. I commend Marvel for doing it, even when half the movies was shyt MOVIES...

But this clearly has been a let down since Endgame and they have NEVER returned the feeling. Now you telling me we gonna get a whopping ONE movie. Then the teamup movie and supervillian that's gonna put our hearts and minds into any realm close as IW???

Nah I don't see it. They can capture a good story. Even good movies. That IW was a fukking EVENT and everyone in here can wax poetic about everything, the day they saw it


I don't see this being that... Or superman being that.. Or anything else being that... Cause they skipping over the hard work and years of buildup and giving us these "well just pretend we did the work already" type of movies... And it's not hitting the same

in far from home most worked out that peter was spidey across universes. you don't think others in the other universes are capable of the same inference? just in the opposite direction? that would be the first place to check right?

and that is without plot devices such as doom being a supreme sorcerer himself. doom crossing universes himself.

memories being wiped doesn't mean that people can no longer put 2 + 2 together. it doesn't mean that all sentient beings were affected.

what happened was chapek (and his minions) were fired. iger returned. creatives were given more power again. projects were wholesale re-written and cancelled and MCU quality has improved.

That's true. So it seems like they're going the age of Ultron route with this then. There was no build up to Ultron he just appeared, or was set up, in his first movie and proceeded to wreck shyt. I'm guessing they're doing the same with doom then. I don't know, it could work I guess. But it's a bold move
