My all time most lit crowd/favorite movie experience was Freddy vs Jason.Crowd was packed & hyped.Another one was Baby Boy when I first saw that at the theater.Good times.Modern era, yes.
But there are others that many here probably were not around to experience in theaters:
Independence Day
Ninja Turtles '90
Batman '89
Jurassic Park
By all accounts the Star Wars original trilogy was epic as well
Should have all ended with IW.I think we can all agree that the time heist stuff was buns.
It was obviously so all the main characters could tie up loose ends and say goodbyes.
It slowed the movie down too much whereas Iw was non stop action. Also Tony Stark solving time travel over dinner was silly.
What I would’ve did is have Thanos lie about being able to destroy the stones and instead sent them to places that can’t be detected. Then you introduce the Watcher who lets everyone know the stones are still around. Maybe Thanos hid one in an exploding star, one in Hell with Dormamu, one inside a Celestial, maybe the Beyonder found one and is using it to fukk shyt up. That way you can have all the main characters using their powers instead of a slow fetch quest where they are sneaking around office buildings. You can still have them all meet up at the end with maybe Thanos putting a fail safe on the stones if they are ever assembled again he is automatically resurrected.
Like imagine if Thanos sent a stone to the MCU version of heaven and when the heroes get there they realize their friends aren’t dead. Like Okoye gets to the Wakandan heaven and realizes T’Challa isn’t with his forefathers.
Multiverses and time travel are and have never been good storytelling.
I had fun at those movie too. LolMy all time most lit crowd/favorite movie experience was Freddy vs Jason.Crowd was packed & hyped.Another one was Baby Boy when I first saw that at the theater.Good times.
Look man I'm older than most of the board so I get people wanting to mention older movies....but virtually none of the movies being named are in the ballpark of "IW" and "Endgame" in terms of sheer pop culture presence.
I mean....look at the box office. Adjust for inflation, and see what would be the equivalent of the nearly $5 billion those two movies made. The list is very, very short. And for the record I seen nearly all the movies listed in here, on or close to their release date.
Fred.
absolutely. that final battle had me shaking and howling like i had parkinsons. the end of iw had me googling which actors had movie deals signed so i could predict whos coming back. it'll never be the same again.
I had fun at those movie too. Lol
Scary Movie
How high, a dumb ass movie but we were high.
All memorable.
I was actually beyond annoyed at End Game. Dude next to was jumping up and down like a fukkin epileptic. Dude behind every 5 seconds saying "No way bro, no way!". I know people were excited but shyt was cringe. I'm older and more irritable now so.
