for what it's worth, palin and finally trump really have lowered the bar for high office. centrists were not exceptionally stupid for falling in love with avenatti. if you're not really voting for issues, voting for your own version of trump makes some sense as long as trump is running and you think you need to fight fire with fire. he had obvious signs of being a grimy little pimp, but the nike extorsion was a wildcard. while i never supported him, i did think that as long as nothing extreme came out about him, he had about as good a chance as any of at least forcing his way onto a ticket or into a cabinet position. when you look at who our VP is and who was chosen for secretary of transportation, this was a weak field. i wouldnt be surprised if he ended up 3rd in the primary
