I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
No desire to see it again
I haven’t heard anyone talk about or reference this film in months. It’s like it came out, made a billion dollars, people said “Don’t ever doubt James Cameron again” to the point it was annoying & tiresome on a brobdingnagian level, and now all of its hardcore fans have quietly went back into their home trees for another slumber. :unimpressed:

That's because that movie is a tech demo. It doesn't have any value outside of a quality theater. Anyone watching that on their regular ass TVs is getting some premium mid entertainment.

Ol "Look at how pretty this is!" head asses. :childplease:

It was pretty dope visually. Story was a bit ass for the first part. Jake was out here mag dumping folks left and right last movie, and all of a sudden he's scared to fight? Even Neytiri was on some "where your balls at, man?" :scust:. Maybe it was turning into a father that had him shook, but I feel like the opposite would happen and he would become more proactive with protecting his people. What happened to the big ass Orange bird mount he had?

I take it it was just a way to explain why they had to fly across the planet to meet the Sea people.

The editing was weird, but I figure with all the shyt they filmed, a lot of content was cut. The feral boy went from not knowing who his father was, to knowing where Jake and Quartich (when did he find out Quatrich was his daddy?) had their last duel in a scene.

What was the militaries role other than to bring Quartrich back to the planet? Are they still after unobtainium or are they just providing muscle for the whale hunters?

I was wondering how long this cac boys air mask was going to last. Looking like Covid Tarzan :mjlol:

Seeing how this is supposed to be a commentary on colonialism, will we see allegories like alien smallpox blankets, Agent Orange, and even slavery? Might even have some missionaries come in and co-opt the way of Ewa like the Catholics did. How long before we see Na'vi reservations and plantations? It might get heavy in the next movies:wow:

They were talking about how Na'vi can breathe oxygen, and that humanity has a desire to terraform Pandora as Earth is dying, so we'll see that conflict come to head.

:mjlol:Movie was cool, about 40 minutes of it was filler. Could have been cut down in time and been the same movie. Also, that Tarzan kid is a lame for what he did. I won't spoil it though. Also it made no sense how the military found the Sea People so easily, they hadn't even fully explored the forrest people.

Solid movie overall though, much better than I thought it would be.

The climax is an all timer. That shyt was crazy in the theater. It was near James Cameron peak action levels.
Yeah the scenes with the harpoon boats and the ensuing battle was so dope in 3D.

Movie definitely is too long tho, I was a little bored watching it at home during the middle parts. Also the sea people just disappear right before the final climax with no explanation.

Cameron thought he was slick sneaking in Titanic pt 2 tho. Dude is obsessed lmao
