Keep this in mind the the first Avatar's 3D is Top notch, but The Way of the Water blows that away.
Other effect heavy movies better step their games up

Just saw the OG Avatar in IMAX 3D. Was actually the first time I’ve ever seen it. When it first dropped, I just didn’t care about it, 3D hoopla be damned

But yea…I got it. Good experience, one I honestly wouldn’t even wanna have without the 3D aspect. With that being said, I’ma see the new joint when it drops.

Watched the OG for the first time a couple days ago, good thing I went to a 3D showing because the scenario/dialogues etc are really very basic. Great visuals though. Movie is ultra white saviourism though damn.

Rewatching the theater rerelease of avatar solidified my Opinion Cameron is the goat action director. The theater I went to their projector was miscalibrated a little which caused flickering. Really considering traveling a bit to go to a way better theater and see it in legitimate IMAX instead of digital IMAX.

The visuals are really the crux of the experience. You can’t evaluate this movie without the 3D element. Cameron really pushed visual cinema forward as usual, but not many have taken what he has done and expounded upon it. Excited for the sequel.

Yeah too bad that's basically all the movie is (the linguistic part seems to have been well thought too though). Really no need for more than two hours tbh.

The action set pieces are masterful. I really didn’t fully realize that until watching it last night. Cameron’s orchestration of the different set pieces are both very interesting to watch and so easy to follow visually. Some may disagree but I didn’t feel the movie was slow at all, it almost entirely moves from one cool set piece to another. Idk mayne, Jim directed his fukking ass off on this one.

I really want to avoid that trailer and head into it blind for the most part, but it’s inevitable it’ll be a part of the previews at Wakanda Forever screenings.
