Lets look at both. Women that drink alcohol around men tend to end up in bad situations with lunatics over and over again. I think women should stop drinking alcohol and these problems will go away. Literally rape stats will plummet overnight.

Most rape victims aren't drunk or around alcohol when they are raped. Most rape victims are around people they know, either friends or family, in a sober state.

I think a better idea is for women to not associate with people she knows at all, since that's how most rapes happen. Your wife should spend more time around strangers than around you, just to be on the safe side.

Im actually approaching this very philosophically so i can get you to admit your argument about alcohol is a non sequitur

If we had a system of laws that said a person cannot be charged with shoplifting unless four adult witnesses saw them stealing that system would be a Godsend for shoplifters ...would it not??

I think that part of their law is wrong. I think they do not want to protect women who carry themselves in masculine ways. Women that are out at night, drinking with men. They should treat these crimes equally though.
