Loved the Kamala interview. Despite his current health problems, its inspiring to know that he still has an optimistic outlook.
It was good that he confronted Andre on his crude behavior. Not surprising how afterwards there were no more problems between them. Its like a bully who finally gets their ass kicked and they learn to fall back. He kept it 100, saying that he knew toe-to-toe he didn't stand a chance due to the "animal" strength Andre possessed.
I knew from Lawler's podcast interview with Austin that he was responsible for coming up with the Kamala gimmick, but it was interesting to hear it from the man himself. Makes me wonder what could be if Lawler was used as an agent.
Although Kamala says that its water under the bridge in regards to how his pay in the 'E' didn't match up to what he was delivering, Vince was grimy as hell for that.
The stories of his time in Puerto Rico seem insane.
I will definitely check out his book once it is made available.
"I got tons of ideas, but they cost money" - Jim Ross
Despite the aforementioned quote, the latest JR interview was enjoyable and he still dropped a lot of ideas that the 'E' may want to look into. I too found myself agreeing with a lot of his and Steve's assessments, especially about Reigns and Cena.
Steve had mentioned during the opening of the Kamala interview how Reigns (along with Cesaro) actually have the ability to cut good promos if they were given the freedom to do so and that Reigns just needs to add more moves to his repertoire. JR mentioned that Reigns, if the 'E' isn't careful could fall out of favor quickly.
The comments about Cena, I thought were spot on. We all know that he wants to sell merchandise but going into this next bout with Lesnar, it would probably do him some good if he was seen as more than just the Kool-Aid man.
He told a great personal story about Danny Hodge.
I wasn't surprised that he wasn't aware of the big bumps that Foley took during the infamous HIAC match against Taker. Just watching it back and hearing his voice...one can't fake that.
All in all, the interview is worth a listen.
