Listened to the Shamrock podcast earlier and I found the situation with his Dad to be heartbreaking. It's interesting how so many guests feel comfortable enough with Steve to reveal such personal information.

He has went through a lot and goodness he sure was a bad ass kid, which the majority of that was indeed based on him being a product of his horrible environment. It's good that he was actually able to make a living out of fighting people and currently he seems to be in a good space. I liked the fact that he kept it real about there still being fire inside of him. He could have easily pretended that he is some changed man who helps his mother with her ministry work and whatnot but he let it be known that depending on the situation, he will handle it the way that he thinks is best.

I have to be honest and say that I am really behind on listening to the podcast- the last one I listened to was the one he did with Lita and his was the best out of the other podcasts she did (Ross, Jericho).

I will probably listen to a few others that I've missed soon and I am interested in hearing part 2 of Shamrock's interview.

And that's a good point...all these wrestlers that Austin talks to are so damn open to him its crazy. They must really be humbled that the GOAT wants to talk to them..

Austin really is a natural at this, I find he carries the conversation well and smoothly. Does his research too and seems genuinely interested in every guest's background, which probably helps them open up.

Dammit, if I wasn't sober right now, I'd subscribe to that Geek and Gamer Box and support THE Texas Rattlesnake because I fukking love his rants and stories.

I would have never guessed in a million years this man would not only entertain me from the television and then on a podcast format.

I have already listened to Paul's. His and Lita's were both available when I decided to check out the show- I listened to his before hers.

The Heyman interview was great. Aside from him talking about the money woes of ECW and trying to sell Steve on doing a match against Brock, I recall him wanting to work with Cesaro and speaking out about character development in general.

It's unfortunate that him and Cesaro didn't work out. I had high hopes because Paul is so good but ya can't win em all.

I find it annoying when guys with drug problems are on, and that takes up a big percentage of the conversation.

I'd rather hear Jake, Scott and Kurt talk about the business and their experiences with different matches and guys. The drug problems feel like a damn broken record. Hear one story and you've heard em' all.

Part 2 of Shamrock's interview was good, he seems like a very likeable person. Due to his MMA background being his selling point when he joined the WWF, I didn't know that he had actually started out in professional wrestling. The story he told about not knowing what 'tapping out' was and him being put to sleep by Masakatsu Funaki was pretty funny. Overall enjoyable listen.

Due to his MMA background being his selling point when he joined the WWF, I didn't know that he had actually started out in professional wrestling. Yeah I was gonna say, I don't really check the edited/clean podcast, but the 2 Ken Shamrock interviews were 2 of the best out of all these podcasts that Austin has done.

Its kinda crazy how Funaki and Sukuki started out wrestling as well then quitting mma to coming back to wrestling and winning heavyweight titles. I always wanted to see shamrock come back but hes just too old.
