Gable Steveson, an Olympic gold medalist and one of the most dominant college wrestlers in NCAA history, is jumping to the NFL to sign with the Buffalo Bills, his agent Carter Chow told ESPN.

Steveson is signing the standard rookie three-year deal and he now will set out to join Bob Hayes as the only athlete ever to win a Super Bowl ring and an Olympic gold medal.

Steveson knows the learning curve will be steep but is excited for the opportunity.

What was Rivers right about?

Will this guy even make the active roster?

Which is 53 players, near quadruple of any NBA team roster

The only thing he signed is to basically tryout and be on a 90 man roster. Whoop-de-doo.

Considering an Olympic Gold Medal-winning wrestler is most likely one of the most explosive and elite athletes walking the earth and he is trying out for a position that values what his expected strengths are (hand usage, understanding of leverage and how to control a man, quick-twitch agility/explosiveness)...
