Awful decision. They make there hottest star a placeholder champ? Everyone knows they are building towards the big storm/roode payoff Why even kill Aries heat like that?
Roode is only 1 year older than Aries, and 2 years older than Punk. Roode is the same age as Cena, and Cena was a champ forever.

Ever sense I started watching TNA a bit more regularly its been pretty piff, relative to the trash that the 'E is pushing. Roode was a good champ, hell off his theme alone he had somethin about him and he had some nice mic skills; all around pretty good.

Ya statement was kinda contradictory. The part I bolded implied younger wrestlers, while the next sentence implied smaller wrestlers. So, I responded to the younger wrestlers comment.

If that was the case.. Sting would have been in the main event last night
for the dude who said the e is pumping out trash, this bryan punk feud is the best wrestling angle since the debut of the nexus. you can claim its a soap opera or whatever, but its still fun to watch and unpredictable. AJ (the female, not Styles) is infinitely more interesting than anything and anyone in tna.
And i actuallly loved yesterdays ppv. Thought it was better than any WWE ppv this year save for maybe OTL. Still, there was no match better than Sheam vs Bryan or Punk vs Bryan.
Also, TNA is doing the right thing in bringing in Kenny King, Scorpio Sky, etc. but they're failing to make these people matter. They just threw them nikkas out there and that was that. that's a horrible way of debuting someone. there's no hype behind any of these people except Joey Ryan's wack ass. Speaking of Ryan, he needs to form a new version of The Dynasty now that Scorpio Sky seems to be on the roster. Gail Kim can play Jade Chung's role. its too bad Scott Lost and Chris Bosh retired...Scott Lost coulda been the greatest technical wrestler ever on some Lance Storm type shyt. They can also reup on Kazarian's feud with Scorpio

They built this feud and Aries as a whole very well the last few months.
Roode wasn't a great heel champ, he can work and looks legit but is generic and sounds robotic. He's an "old school" heel but that's exactly what the business doesn't need right now, it needs heels people can compare to people they hate that they encounter in real life.

I think he was pretty much exactly what they needed. I don't think Aries win yesterday matters much if Roode hadn't done such a good job holding the strap.
If it had been hot potatoed between Stink, Nero and Mr. Anderson, nobody would have really given a damn about him going over last night.
People don't even hate heels anymore...I thought it was refreshing to have a guy in there that was doing a good job and smarks weren't latching onto and cheering for.
