:smugfavre:

I see what you did there.

Oh and how about Putin threatening to attack Saudi if US attacks Syria? :leon:

A grim “urgent action memorandum” issued today from the office of President Putin to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is ordering a “massive military strike” against Saudi Arabia in the event that the West attacks Syria.
According to Kremlin sources familiar with this extraordinary “war order,” Putin became “enraged” after his early August meeting with Saudi Prince Bandar bin Sultan who warned that if Russia did not accept the defeat of Syria, Saudi Arabia would unleash Chechen terrorists under their control to cause mass death and chaos during the Winter Olympicsscheduled to be held 7-23 February 2014 in Sochi, Russia.

With Putin’s previous order, and as we had reported on in our 17 May report “Russia Issues “All-Out War” Alert Over Syria,” and now combined with his new ordering of massive retaliatory strikes against Saudi Arabia, any attack on Syria is viewed by Russia as being an attack on itself.

I don't know why all you guys are trying to derail the thread with your trolling. A respected AP/NPR/BBC(are those liberal and credible enough for you partisan fanboys?) correspondent who has covered the region for over 20 years and is putting his reputation on the line, has presented an alternative story to the one you guys are being lead to believe from Kerry and Obama's "undeniable" proof.

This is a new credible theory. It needs to be explored and scrutinized to see if it holds any validity.

It does look like team #Dropthemthangs has seen a couple setbacks, I am not totally sure about the evidence yet, I need a concise (@concise) outlying of what exactly is being alleged and by who, but as of right now I was already team #dropthemthangs before I knew about this chemical weapons scare.

France seems ready to ride out still

:manny:

America seems pretty committed. We drew a line in the sand and they stepped over it. We've gotta hold the line.

But is circumstantial evidence enough to claim the 'red-line' has been crossed? That's why it's important to listen to every credible report, investigate and actually obtain hard evidence, before even more civilian lives are lost and war is sparked amongst numerous nations.

Report: France Wins Billion-Euro Saudi Defense Deal

Aug. 29, 2013 | PARIS — France has won a billion-euro defense contract with Saudi Arabia to overhaul four frigates and two refuelling ships, sources said Thursday.

A source close to the matter confirmed a report on the La Tribune website saying negotiations that had dragged on for years were over.

The upkeep deal involves French weapons and systems makers Thales, DCNS and MBDA and would overhaul vessels that date to the 1980s.

None of the companies involved wished to comment, but La Tribune reported that the launch of work could come as early as September and would precede a visit to the kingdom by French President Francois Hollande this autumn.
