the reaction on here is really ridiculous, these players have played the entire year for themselves... not for Donald Sterling.

Now because its public knowledge that there owner is a racist, the players should be expected to negate any importance placed in their OWN success, and performance and instead boycott a game to undermine their owner...

That would just be undermining their own hard work, at no point in this season did the clippers make an organizational goal to win a championship for donald sterling... they're here to win it for themselves. The reaction here mirrors that from alot of non-basketball fans I see on twitter. To act like theyre arent numerous CEO's with similar views is the real shocking part... its like that Chris Rock joke... everywhere I go I expect cacs to be racist... that isnt going to stop my own quest for success.

The resolution to this problems comes from the NBA forcing sterling to sell the team not from the players boycotting a playoff game, and I feel theres a strong possibility of the former happening this offseason.

Jim Brown and Muhammad Ali are the greatest on and off the field

It's amazing how much this tweet has depth, perspective and it touches on so many related and unrelated common issues
I'm going to reuse this for awhile

Norfeast groovin…
I'll put it this way. I don't think any of us would be against them boycotting and would be supportive. A boycott may even speed up klanling's removal from the team. At the same time though, this is a pretty awkward place to be put in. For one, its no secret klanling is racist that's been known for years so why stand up now after all the racist shyt he's said in the past? Not to mention, we're at our computers typing what they should do but we wasn't the ones in practice, in the weight room, doin all that shyt that pro athletes do and I can't imagine having done all that hard work just for your boss to say some supremely racist shyt at the worst possible time, how easy could it really be for them to disregard all they'd done to get to that point? Especially considering that the only interaction they might have with the owner is gettin their check. As much as we'd like for them to, a lot of these players don't think like we do so all I'm sayin is don't be shocked by a pathetic response to this.

To me, I think they'll play and justify it as some "We're playing for each other and the city" type shyt because a huge portion of our generation has been pretty much neutered and worship green pieces of paper anyway. They should sit out a game, but they won't.

Damn shame we play in sports where people pay millions to watch us play and wear our name but cant speak the fukk up or have meetings to discuss issued about our heritage and history. I cant believe this shyt where is the self respect and dignity. Oh he we will lose money fukk that our ancestors lost their lives for discrimination of this nature so we dont have to go through this nonsense.

Ernie came off sounding more enthusiastic and ready to march than anybody. Shaq ol goof ball ass sounded like a meek child scared to say anything. He wasnt calling for him to be suspended or anything big dumb ass talking about "something has to happen" Kenny was just there and Chuck actually said being a racist is ok.

At least he called for him to be suspended.

What more sad is that another brother like Stephen probally will say the same thing what Shaq, Kenny, Barkely said while you knew Skip gonna say this racist gotta go :camby:

It makes me mad why these brothers scared to speak their minds :mindblown:

Kenny: "this is a teaching tool for the younger generation"

Okay, I understand what he's getting at with that but it means nothing if the players don't take a stand against it. You can't just wait for Silver to determine what the punishment should be.

Younger generation is in bad shape. They feel it is OK as long as he didn't say the "N-Word":snoop:
