They always want more. Its a fukking business :what:

And it may be illegal for them not to have a bidding war. U cant just sell someone's assset for what u want. Sterling could sue for that sh1t. It was always going to the highest bidder.

besides the last couple years, the clips have been some shyt, and the team going for a billion plus, so I think the league good on that....

that's the sticky point of all this and why the sterlings want control over the sale of the team...they want the bidding war and get as most money as possible cause of taxes and shyt, but the league doesn't...sterling has threated to sue, but I think he aint gonna do that...the culture gonna get him to do what's best for business aka the culture....you see his stance on selling the team has changed already...think him suing will too...

Dude, U said the League would set a price. Point is the more they sell for helps the league. The Bucks may have sold for a lot, but they can ask 100mil more for the next bum franchise. Their goal is to have a league full with billion dollar assets. Like the nfl. The idea that they would set a price is laughable. Highest bidder.

The Sterlings no doubt want a say in who gets the team and want to guarantee they get top dollar. They probably dont trust the league to do it how they want it to be done. As long as they have no shares and it doesnt go to one of their friends, I doubt Silver will care. Everone knew they would sell for at least 1.2 bil

Grant would just be the front like Magic is with the Dodgers. Like Magic, Grant uses his name to gather all these investors. Grant probably would only invest 10 to 20 million of his own money if that much. The Dodgers cost 2.3 Billion, no way Magic has that kind of bread, he probably on invested 20 to 25 million at most but he gets to be the figurehead...

Makes sense, I knew he'd have to be with a group of investors I just didn't know he had the funds to make a power play like that

that contradicts each other and doesn't make sense....if the league would set a price, why is it laughable and still going to the highest bidder?....

yea, the league wants that nfl money, but that shyt aint gonna happen...and I disagree, silver will care...this can be the main big thing for his legacy...as for the price, I think the league gonna set a high price, but there will be no bidding war....the group that gets the team will come down to their sale's pitch and whom the commish think it will look best for the league....I think it's going to magic cause of how his name was involved in the shyt.....plus, the fact magic helped the nba out with buying the la sparks, think they'll look out for him here...

nobody thought dodgers was worth 2 billion either. Although i think that is S. Sterling is lying receiving 2.5B offers, I wouldn't be surprised if Clippers sell for 1.5-2bn though.

The team will be sold but it will stay in the "family" :sas2:
yea like the nba is going to allow his wife to determine who they sell to
