In the ocean where the sharks be at
Rockets owner

Calling the comments "disgusting," Alexander said he told Silver he should stab "a sword" into the heart of Sterling's ownership of the Clippers.

"I thought that there's got to be a way to disrupt him from owning the team," said Alexander, who after 20 years owning the Rockets is one of the longest tenured owners in the NBA. "I gave him the sword to deal with this. I said, 'Let the players become free agents.'"

Alexander said the goal of his suggestion was not to break up the Clippers, considered among the league's top teams, or even to punish Sterling. He said the objective was solely to back Sterling into a corner from which he will choose to sell the Clippers.

He reasons they would all leave and Sterling would be left with either an empty roster or a roster of highly overpaid scrubs, at which point he would have no other choice but to sell the team.

John Chaney Joins Mike Missanelli - Mike Missanelli - 97.5 The Fanatic (podcast)
Legendary basketball coach John Chaney joins Mike Missanelli to discuss racism in sports in light of the recently leaked audio of Clippers owner Donald Sterling. Cheney says that a suspension or fine doesn't work for a man who has billions of dollars and that the players can't respond with boycott because for them, it's all about making money.

Let the players be free agents.... Hmmmm

Would they be entitled to the same deals they were getting prior? Would a team over the salary cap be able to sign players? Does Sterling have to buy out the remainder of each players contract? Would the Clippers franchise exist for the 2014-2015 season and beyond? Would allowing the top teams to acquire even more talent be fair? Should the players be entered to a draft? Would they have no say on their future location?

Either way this whole situation is fukkked!

Why did you tag me in here?

I see you people are struggling with those vampires again. This time a powerful jewish dracula, one of the old ancient ones.

What are you lot going to do bruv? what have you done so far besides call each other tap dancers and c00ns? scrambling to go at each others necks.

That's right, tag an african. Seems like a perfect solution. Losers, the lot of you.

Donald Sterling Son-in-Law
You're A Racist
And I Don't Care If You Fire Me For Saying It

EXCLUSIVE

Donald Sterling's son-in-law, Director of Basketball Administration for the Clippers who helps run the day-to-day operation of the team, tells TMZ Sports what his father-in-law did is ignorant and racist ... and if that costs him his job ... so be it.

Here are the words of his son-in-law Eric Miller:

"I find the statements and representations made by the Clippers' team owner to be deplorable and disgusting. There is no room in sports or society in general, for racism."

Miller goes on: "I pledge my full support for the wonderful players, coaches and staff members of the Clippers organization. I have complete faith that Commissioner Silver will deal with this matter swiftly and severely."

And then Miller says, "If these comments should happen to cost me my employment with the team, it is but a small price to pay to speak out against ignorance and racism."

Donald Sterling's daughter, Joanna Sterling Miller -- who is married to Eric -- says, "I am devastated and saddened by the cruel and insensitive comments expressed in these audio tapes."

Yo how crazy would it be if Sterling held onto the team bc they can't force him to sell, but they did let all the current Clips players become free agents and they all went to the Lakers. I'm not even a Laker fan but :banderas:

They'd just anally rape the Clips 4 times a year every year for the conceivable future and drive their revenue and attendance back down to shyt. Like the good ole days :blessed:

"
Q: Is it possible for Silver and the NBA to terminate Sterling's franchise ownership?

A: Yes. Under the terms of Paragraph 13 of the constitution, the owners can terminate another owner's franchise with a vote of three-fourths of the NBA Board of Governors, which is composed of all 30 owners. The power to terminate is limited to things like gambling and fraud in the application for ownership, but it also includes a provision for termination when an owner "fails to fulfill" a "contractual obligation" in "such a way as to affect the [NBA] or its members adversely." Silver and the owners could assert that Sterling's statements violated the constitution's requirements to conduct business on a "reasonable" and "ethical" level.
Any owner or Silver can initiate the termination procedure with a written charge describing the violation. Sterling would have five days to respond to the charge with a written answer. The commissioner would then schedule a special meeting of the NBA Board of Governors within 10 days. Both sides would have a chance to present their evidence, and then the board would vote. If three-fourths of the board members vote to terminate, then Sterling would face termination of his ownership. It would require a vote of two-thirds of the board to reduce the termination to a fine. Terminating a franchise would obviously be a drastic remedy, but the potential of the termination procedure gives Silver and the other owners vast leverage in any discussion with Sterling about an involuntary sale of his team."

-Lester Munson - Legal analyst, ESPN

"Alexander brought up the free agency idea because he does not think the NBA can legally remove Sterling from ownership for being a racist embarrassment to the league. It's his understanding that the constitution only allows such a punishment if an owner is found gambling." - Leslie Alexander

Talking about possible free agency or trade, Blake would fit well with the Suns. The cap is there.

Lakers could snatch CP3 or Blake because of their location advantage though.
