"Lynching did not come out of nowhere. Its actual and symbolic grounding in history and literature goes back to slavery and slavery's defining persons of African descent as property."

lynch
[linch] Show IPA
verb (used with object)
to put to
death, especially by hanging, by mob action and without legal authority.

"I support them and give them food, and clothes, and cars, and houses. Who gives it to them? Does someone else give it to them? Do I know that I have -- Who makes the game? Do I make the game, or do they make the game?" - Donald Sterling (Aka "property owner")

Spend 6,000++ posts comparing an 80 year old senile, delusional, psychotic white man to white Slave owners but then act like it's beyond the REALM OF POSSIBILITY he has ALL the characteristics of a slave owner brehs...:heh:

Spend 6,000+ posts saying a white man see's his team as a plantation, his players as PROPERTY, but SELECTIVELY OMIT one of the *key* aspects of a plantation (lynching) JUST CUS WE IN 2014 brehs....:heh:

#BlatantContradiction ... #FoolishlyInconsistent ... #GodDidntMakeUsAllthisSmart .... #ItsOkTho

"12 years of slave" huh....:sas2:

Looks like it's gonna be about 300 more years judging off the majority of yall nikkas:sas1:

#NoLackin

for what its worth I said he could flip out if the girl doesn't turn over the 100++ hours of tapes so he can "make this go away", and proceeds to ruin whats left of his life... Not during game 5... #GetItRight

I wouldn't call Doc a tap dancer.. Doc has been through the fire before so he probably got a different perspective on shyt like that. It's almost like he's accepted the nature of people like Sterling and he keeps it moving.

Not to minute if Doc or the players refused to coach/play, they would be fined out the ass and would be lambasted by the media and league.
Here's what some of the popular opinions would sound like.

"This is what's wrong with America, you do your job if you're paid. I don't like my boss, but yet I show up to work everyday"
"These overpaid thugs need to suck it up and play, I like most guys can barely afford tickets, yet you refuse to play despite me paying top dollar to see you"

MLK was the most hated black man in America when he was alive.. by far.
Now that he's safely dead, they reduced him into a Santa Claus figure who gave "that speech" (his most PG-rated one) :stopitslime:
I know he was hated then

Never forget Cointelpro

Funny how they killed MLK after he said to Harry Belafonte "I think i'm intergrating my people into a burning house"

it's like ppl defending this guy dont fully understand the implications of his behaviour. this shyt is very disheartening.

Funny thing is, he didn't even *advertise* his ignorance, it was an illegal wiretap of a private conversation, at best. Not that I condone the content, but at some point, we need to draw the line of meddling into people's private affairs, thought crimes. If we wiretapped all the conversations between black (or white) nba players and fired anyone who ever said anything sexist, racist or offensive, we would not even be left with enough players to fill the roster of two teams.... for 1-on-1 basketball.
I expect a strict response from nba. It's a private, very image conscious (albeit ridiculously transparent and fake) one. But POTUS stooping so low to meddle into private conversations of citizens in order to bolster a media feeding frenzy is troubling to me. Next step is criminalizing speech and thoughts.

:what: man i swear......

Doc is weak man.

He just is.

His own peers got more backbone than he does.

I keep saying it, but ya'll wanna shut me down for it...but I bet its his "home dynamic with his wife" that hes thinking about. :mjpls:

@Walt, speak on it.

The Civil Rights Act defends their right to protest against their employer on the grounds of discrimination. :ld:

I've got nothing against interracial dating...and i've definitely dabbled and what not...but the point is that I think he's really not built with that protest vein in him.
