It's going to be very interesting what the league plans to do with Sterling. The bigger question we should be asking ourselves is why was nothing done about Sterling during his 30 year reign as Clippers owner? A known racist was basically allowed to own a team, run it how he saw fit despite racial allegations, and being a known slum lord. The question we should be asking ourselves is, why David Stern allowed him to run the Clippers organization that long with all that going on. Why was he rewarded for that vetoed Lakers trade for C. Paul?
Sometime in the next 24 hours we'll see how the league plans to pursue this disaster, and we'll really know how new commissioner Adam Silver runs the league. I wonder how much dirt Sterling has on not only the other owners of the NBA, but on the NBA hierarchy too (Stern & Silver). I bet you he gets off with limited penalties because of all of the potential dirt he might have on NBA business practices over the 30 years he's been an owner.
