Africans are succeeding in this country @Tommy Knocks . Africans aren't close to accepted. The difference is, they are like the Indians. They making educational and professional career progress but really have little to no power in America. That's why many move back to African countries. You can quote @Don Drogo or @2Quik4UHoes for that as well.
i watched 12 years a slave last night and imo her performance wasnt anything special.
i really hate it when black women are given awards being raped and shyt like that.

but she should take the award anyway and run with it for better movies even though they gave her award to shut ppl up giving mackelmore awards in the grammy's.

barack is also an african given put on that platform but i wouldn't say he's using his position to help africans.

being that barack and lupita ppl are from the same country i wonder what the connection is.

Blacks in America are fighting a completely different barrier tho. I wouldn't say what you are saying because you are understating what the problem really is.
seeings both sides of the spectrum, the immigrants struggle, and being an immigrant in a foreign land myself, I can say without flinching the immigrant struggle is much harder present day.

*disclaimer - not coming at you, just that phrase sparked something in me*

i'm tired of hearing 'be the bigger man' when it comes to blacks standing up to some fukked up shyt...whenever someone spits in our face, does injustice to us, etc., all you hear being preached is be the bigger man and pray for them....fukk that shyt....you dont see homosexuals, whites, nor other groups turning the other cheek/praying for them when shyt happens to them..they stand up and dont take that shyt no more....that's what we need to start doing...turning the other cheek doesnt make you the bigger man, it just shows you're willing to put up with more shyt...when is enough, enough?...eventually you gonna run outta cheeks to turn.....
pretty much what Malcolm X said

Norfeast groovin…
pretty much what Malcolm X said

It's a shame more people didn't listen to him, and the ones that did were silenced for the most part. MLK's dream was impossible without doing some of the things that Malcolm was suggesting. Oh well, at least we're "accepted".

It would have made a big statement if they would have boycotted, right? Even though they are just athletes, it would have said something. That is why i kept pushin so hard in the Kobe thread breh :sas2:

And that's why we eventually agreed on it. I had to step back and get some perspective.

I'm real about mines. I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong.

My dad is a native, from the south, and MILES more successful than my mother. :mindblown:

there was nothing that kept him from going to uni, and becoming a teacher, then getting a loan and acquiring land. My mom had WAAY more obstacles. .she had to get citizenship and learn english first and that shyt is fukking hard as fukk

Oh, I see you think someone was disrespecting your moms grind. No one is.

Look I don't care about Africans in relation to black Americans. What they do or where they come from is completely inconsequential to what problems black americans face.
