This is one of the records everyone was using in battles like the DMC until cats started making their own custom records. Theres a bunch of repeating sounds starting @ around 7:15
This is another good one, sounds are @ 6:50,
Ya man. I learned about Dj Babu's Super Duck Breaks. It's considered a DJ classic and honestly it IS a hip hop classic. Rap heads should know about that record even if they're not familiar with "scratch records"
I saw the A Track one but didn't know it had sounds on it.
*My bad, A track had a similar pen and pixel cover. Didn't hear this Craze one! Thank you!!!!
For those that don't know a scratch record has short samples like "Fresh" in a robotic voice - or certain specific sounds that sound dope while scratching. Scratching a snare sounds clasdic but if you scratch something too "airy" there'll hardly be a killer cut. Unless you incorporate it stylistically.
I'm having a lot of fun learning to scratch.
Alot of these sounds, man they're so dope and considered classic sound bytes cause they were used so much on hip hop albums.
And I try to track them down. I have a collection already but don't have all the known sounds yet.
