I started watching then cut it off.....does it get any better
I just want the 2nd season of the anime to drop

Just finished watching the movie and ugh, oh boy.
Had no clue what they were doing this entire movie. It was like they were moving from scene to scene without a proper explanation.
Too much standing on the ground and running away, rather than using their gear to get away. And yeah, the scouting legion got fukked up when they went into the field but they weren’t this inept. Outside of like 2 or 3 characters, it was like none of them knew what the fukk they were doing.
No foreshadowing of Erin being a titan. No backstory at all of why Eren might have this power.

The titan’s faces and bodies look too normal. There was nothing disturbing about them other than the fact that they were tall and naked
What made Attack on Titan great was the setting and world building. You felt like humanity was on its last legs. You felt the characters desperation to survive and reclaim the world that was lost to them. You don’t feel these things when you watch the movie. They don’t even bother to explain basic stuff like the branches of the military or the plight between those who live in the inner walls and those who don’t. They just skim through it all
The characters were never the selling point of the manga/anime for me but I still thought they were likable. Eren with his unyielding desire to kill all of the titans. Mikasa with her unbreakable devotion for Eren. Levi the ultimate baddass, Armin going from a shy coward to a bold tactician. The characters in AoT were likable. The characters in this movie were not. They didn’t even bother to draw inspiration from the source material, they just went with Jdrama trope characters instead.
And wtf did they to Mikasa. I’ve never seen a character assassination this bad. And NTR
And who the fukk is this Levi clone? Why does he keep saying simple shyt and acting like he dropping knowledge? Why didn’t he die in the movie
They better not fukk up season 2 of the anime though. And I got my eyes on Korea if they attempt this fukkery with Tower of God.
