There are literally images of Storm where she's drawn with white features too. Same goes for pretty much every female in comics. A lot of comic book artists aren't worth a damn and can't draw non white features. Been a number of incidents where the penciler will draw a black character but the colorist can't tell the character is black and just colors them in as white.

Hell there was a Shang Chi comic that came out a couple years back where he looked like some random white dude.

Say what you want, but Donald Glover has given these actors an amazing platform to showcase their talent via his show, some of these people would have never gotten into the rooms in the first place to audition. Thus the need for more creators who are black.

Congrats to her. I never got the sense that she was athletic like that for this kind of role, but she's an actress, so perhaps she has it in her.
