I don’t see how people still go to games.Orlando even passed up our front office. That’s the spot we should be in now but nah shallow barely breathing under .500 as usual.

We just got really unlucky with our lottery picks post-Trae. Only pick where we reasonably could've picked a better player for us was Reddish over Cam Johnson and PJ Washington. For the other picks(Hunter, OO), the only players we really missed out on(Garland, Herro, Haliburton) were incompatible with Trae or were never in the lottery conversation (Desmond Bane, Nic Claxton). We made pretty much the best picks we could given the talent on the board, there just wasn't too much talent there to begin withI don’t see how people still go to games.Orlando even passed up our front office. That’s the spot we should be in now but nah shallow barely breathing under .500 as usual.

Orlando sucked longer and got more lottery picks in better drafts. Be mad at fate for that, not the front office
I'm not saying the front office is perfect, or even good tbh. But if you're gonna compare us to Orlando - a team that isn't comparable timeline-wise to us in the first place - then the difference is going to boil down to drafting.Yea I can’t get there with you on this assessment at all, respectfully. Beyond the draft picks (which I don’t think we’ve made the best pick every time) this is a front office & ownership group that doesn’t have a consistent view of how to build a championship roster. That’s shown up via roster management, taking back trade exceptions on our former players (John Collins & Kevin Huerter for example) in cost cutting moves, coaches and front office personnel (Travis Schlenk being fired, Nate McMillan elevated from an Asst Coach, hired and fired, elevating an unproven Landry Fields to GM etc) and an unwillingness to spend on FAs to improve the team.
The Hawks are content being a .500 or so team with a great gameday experience that’s in the hunt for a play in spot.
This version of the Hawks will only be a championship contender if Jalen and/or Ricochet become superstars and Trae stays around to see them develop into that
How tf did we win?![]()
