Of course the ATL
Breh played 50 minutes out of 53
If he works on the 3 over the summer

Yea OO stepped up bigly this season, but the reality is that the Hogs need to answer the big question is what do you do with Trae…we’ve hit our ceiling with him as our star player but if we trade him we’re not gonna get some great return for him.

There are some young pieces in place I wouldn’t mind running it back with

Trae
Daniels
Ricochet
JJ
OO

That’s a young and emerging starting 5 and you can mix and match with FAs to get a decent bench. I’m actually ok with this as our foundation assuming Trae wants to come back but if he comes back next season we’ll need to make a decision on his supermax by next summer

I'm cool with bringing Trae back vs desperately trading for a bull shyt package.

Just look at who was closing the game last night vs all the playoff teams closing guys. Levert is the only other guy that can create his own shot.

This team outperformed what I expected after the JJ injury. We picked up rotation guys mid season and the young guys developed.

We have so much upside in the starting lineup with DD, ZR, JJ, OO. Vit and Mo G proved themselves. I think you finally have a team tailor made for Trae. Trae grew up a lot this year, tried on defense and became a pass first PG.

We need a legit big to replace capela but OO is clearly the starter.

No need to downgrade at PG with the group we have now. :whoa:

You being a Trae stan is a perfect example of everything. I don't even need to say anything. The dumbest sports poster I've ever seen, who posts in all caps, is a nut hugger for arguably the worst "superstar" ever

Only the dumbest of the dumb could be a fan of this guy

YOUVE NEVER PLAYED ORGANIZED BALL ON ANY LEVEL

SIT DOWN

I KNOW U DIDNT WATCH THE GAME, BUT THE HAWKS LOST SIMPLY BECAUSE TRAE HAD NO HELP

THE FACT THAT HE EVEN DRAGGED THAT TEAM TO 8TH IN THE STANDINGS WAS A MIRACLE WITHIN ITSELF

ATLANTA — The Atlanta Hawks today announced that they will begin the search for a President of Basketball Operations and have hired Sportsology Group, a leading provider of strategic advisory and operational support in the sports industry, to direct the process.
The team also announced that Landry Fields has been relieved of his duties as general manager, and Onsi Saleh has been promoted to general manager of the Atlanta Hawks and will oversee all day-to-day basketball operations for the team, effective immediately.
The Hawks finished the season with a 40-42 (.488) record and did not make the playoffs for a second consecutive season.
“Every offseason we evaluate how we operate and ways we can improve our organization. As we enter this pivotal offseason, we have several complex decisions ahead of us, and we are committed to providing the human and financial resources needed to ensure that we navigate these decisions with a high level of precision and foresight. Adding an accomplished, senior-level leader to provide strategic direction and structure as well as partnering with Onsi and our talented front office is a top priority,” Principal Owner Tony Ressler said.
“I would genuinely like to thank Landry for his leadership during his time with us. Landry made our franchise better and left contributions that have positioned us for growth. I am grateful for his dedication and wish him success in his next endeavor.”
Prior to arriving in Atlanta in May 2024, Saleh spent the previous three seasons with the Golden State Warriors, including their 2022 NBA Championship team, and ending his tenure as its vice president of basketball strategy & team counsel.
Before Golden State, Saleh spent five years with the San Antonio Spurs, finishing as the team’s director of strategy & process/chief of staff.
