Was listening to 92.9 Carl and Mike had a more joyful segment. Playing local atlanta artist getting folks to swag surf in their cars.

Of course they threw Ben Simmons to the wolves (Rightfully so)

I checked them out as well…I enjoyed the energy from the Hawks flagship. I expect superior Hawks/Falcons talk from them since they actually broadcast their games, but it was decent sports talk.

I thought Chuck and Chernoff did well too, they’ve been covering the Sixers/Hawks series pretty hard and having fun mocking 97.5 The Phanatic (Philly sports radio) and Philly fans. It’s no secret I prefer Chuck and Chernoff but I thought both stations have done a good job covering this Hawks run so far. I’ll probably stick with Chuck and Chernoff b/c they’ll break it down in more detail (stats, analysis). 92.9’s coverage will be more barber shop style talk so light on stats more focused on “what you can see with your eyes”.

I’m kinda torn on them.

we all know damn well they’ll be talking about the Falcons or UGA 24/7 if the Hawks wasn’t on this run. Hope they not faking the funk and really support the team.

They are the flagship for the Hawks so they talk about them pretty often.

New Lineup Coming To Atlanta’s 680 The Fan

dikkey Broadcasting’s 680 the Fan is getting an overhaul. The station announced a new lineup today featuring familiar faces in new time slots. The changes take effect on July 19.

The morning show is about to get a lot bigger. Brian Finneran and John Michaels will welcome three new cast members to The Front Row. The show will now include Brandon “Hometeam” Leak along with two former QBs, Georgia Tech’s Joe Hamilton and Georgia’s Hutson Mason.

The show also gets a new name. It will be called The Locker Room. The new show will run from 6-10 am.

After that, Buck Belue will host a one hour show. He has been partnered with Mason for Buck and Hut.

Cellini and Domino will now be on from 11-2 pm with Chuck and Chernoff remaining in afternoon drive. The show will move up an hour and run from 2 until 6 pm.

680 the Fan will also feature new evening programming. It’s a smart move considering Atlanta traffic. There will be plenty of people on the road looking for local sports after 6 pm.

The new 6 pm show is called Fun Bag and will be hosted by Brian Hoyt & Carlos Medina.

Hamilton and Hometeam are the 2nd best duo on the station. If 680 wasn’t so scary they’d make the morning show focused around them. They’re objectively better than Finn and Michaels, which is an uninteresting circle jerk. Hutson basically got fired on his day off (he’s been on paternity leave)…outside of being a marginal UGA QB he brings nothing

Cellini lost his edge when they got fired, he’s boring asf and just agrees with Dimino. Dimino is just old now…I listen to him and feel gray growing in my edge up
