Marc James still shytting on Cam? He called Cam a loser when he first came into Charlotte and then flipped once he saw that he had talent. Hedged his bets on Carolina making a run in the playoffs, and once they didn't, he flipped again. An all-around shytty host that will end up burning bridges in ATL like he did in Carolina and Tampa.

Also, he did shyt on Matt Ryan to prop up Cam last year.

Marc James is the worst, man. I dont know what station or time slot that you cats have him on down there, but he is garbage.

He was here in Charlotte, shytting on Cam daily, and his ratings were plummeting after his co-host left the show. He couldnt leave Charlotte fast enough. They were about to put him off the air anyway cause he is so bad and listeners couldnt take it anymore.

92.9/The Game morning host Marc James is out after 16 months but the circumstances of his departure are kind of murky.

Three sources said they heard he was gone and though program director Terry Foxx has not gotten back to me, I decided to post this because James has been wiped off the website. That’s usually a good sign someone is gone.James’ Twitter no longer references the Game.

Why was he cut? There is a story floating around that James sought autographs from Mets players at a recent Braves game , the type of fan-like behavior sports talk show hosts and sports reporters tend to avoid. I am not sure how true this is but heard it from two very different sources.

Randy Cross remains. He has been the one steady presence in mornings since the sports talk station launched in 2012.

I used to listen to it when i lived in ATL, and still stream it from time to time to get Hawks updates after I moved to FL.
Marc James sounded like an ass clown - he'd always cut over to Mike Conti on some, "And now an update from "THE GREAT" Mike Conti"...

Until one time, Conti checked him On-air like, "Are you trying to be funny?"
James was like, "No, I'm being genuine - you are great at what you do"
Conti: Yeah, I think you're being a bit patronizing. On purpose

92.9/The Game mid-day host Randy Cross was let go today, two well-placed sources informed me.






I have not gotten confirmation from Terry Foxx, the program director, and I have no word on his replacement.

I also have no idea why he was released. I will update this when I get more information.

After three years in the morning slot, the former NFL offensive linesman was moved to mid-days this fall after Jamie Dukes left. He had been paired with Rick Kamla.

For his time at UCLA, Cross was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2011. He played for the San Francisco 49ers from 1976 to 1988 with three Super Bowl championships under his belt.

The Alpharetta resident was also a morning host at 640/WGST-AM for a brief time in the early 2000s. He has also been a football analyst for CBS Sports, NBC, Inside College Football and NFL Today.

He was part of the original lineup on the Game since the sports talk station launched in October, 2012. With Cross’ departure, only three broadcasters from the original lineup remain: Kamla, Carl Dukes and Mitch Evans.

The Game has struggled to put together a consistent line up over its three-year life span. Ratings have picked up this past year though the Fan (at 93.7 FM and AM 680) has remained a strong rival despite arguably weaker signal reach.

I like Hugh Douglas but I'm sure he'll be gone soon as well. Dukes and Bell is the only think keeping 92.9 afloat.

680/93.7 is better but I agree. It's hard to listen to but their analysis is significantly better than 92.9.

Hugh Douglas is aight but he does a poor job of explaining what he sees from the perspective of a football player. I just don't really enjoy hearing him talk.

Kamla is decent, getting rid of Randy Cross needed to have happened sooner

Dukes & Bell, their is just no depth to their analysis. None. Outside of Bell's fukkery there isn't anything redeeming about their show. It's meh sports talk. They really have to redo the whole roster IMO
