the city of stone mountain is black but there is a local neighborhood called Smoke Rise that is still mostly upscale and white. For whatever reason even though it relatively close to the mountain, the neighborhood feeds into tucker High, which the surrounding unincorparated area is white, to find Smoke Rise, you take highway 78 from I-285 to gwinett county, and you take the Hugh Howell exit which only goes north, ( a special event exit for Stone Mountain goes south, and that used to be called Hugh Howell, apparently, the park wasn't always sealed off)

I went to 12th grade at Smoke rise elementary, I wouldn't say that they were racist, but it clear they they are the decendants of families of the Klan that was founded at Stone Mountain. I think the most racist city of Atlanta Metro is Dunwoody.

I think Ive been thru Smoke Rise before. Isnt there a golf course over there? If that's it I remember driving down this tree lined street and then out of nowhere you turn a curve and Stone Mountain is right in front of you big as hell.

Marietta racist as fukk too. I went to a house party back in HS out off North Marietta Pkwy and some dudes from out there started fighting and the cops came and shut it down. They detained everybody at the party and when they looked at me and my friends ID's and saw our addresses they actually told us "yall Atlanta boys need to stay close to the interstates when you come out here to Cobb, dont let us catch you on these side streets"
The dude was acting like we was out of town or something. Like Marietta aint apart of the metro, or like Marietta hasn't already had a hood part. From what Ive been told by folks from that area the Fairgrounds section and Lemon St have always been rough. And my first spot by myself was on Franklin Rd and that shyt was sketch too.
