Judging from that era disney was hurting a bit for money till like the lil mermaid raised their profile again. Looks like things can take a similar turn post pandemic and when they oversaturate their movies with live action remakes and retellings that people won't care to remember at all (like who replays the beauty and the beast or alladin remake?)
