At what point in time did rock music start being called "white folk music"?

After Elvis, the rolling stones and the Beatles hijacked the sound and soul music became prominent. Late 50's early 60's.
:manny:Closer to the 50s, but that shyt always proved to be a show of ignorance to me. I almost wanna toss a Chuck Berry album at folks who say that.

But Jimi came around in the 60s

Yea, but you can bet white people were dikk riding him hard as well. When the masses latch on, it becomes less "Us" and more "EVERYBODY!"

shyt, Elvis was pretty much singing black church music for the longest. He made the shyt cool for non-blacks. It happens:manny:

When chuck berry and little richard started getting invited to perform for white audiences. As I understand it both of them started out as rhythm and blues artist , even though it may have *sounded* like what we label rock and roll now.
Was the term "rock and roll" ever black?

Back then "rock and roll" was the music that they played in southern "negro clubs" that whites would only say they went to in attempts to impress more square white people. Elvis used to damn near live in them and was a ike Turner and Chuck Berry stan. When he decided to appropriate their sound, other rhythmless whites saw a white guy doing black music and they lit up like a flamethrower and made him the face of rock and roll. He was Eminem before Eminem. Hendrix was great but he became a star after the whitewashing of rock and roll.

They jacked it EARLY in the lifespan of Rock music. Rap and RnB has like, four decades of black faces in it. It will take a while to white wash it.

Oh they have already started that shyt, it won't be long now. Look what the fukk they have done to soul music soulless demons talking about singing soul.:scust:

They been trying to jack Rap since the early 90s, but militant voices wouldn't allow that. Like what happened to Vanilla Ice. RnB was basically created for black folk to stay away from pop music back in the day. :skip:

Now they want RnB and force black artists to make ratchet southern music. Imperialism never died. :demonic:

It won't be easy erasing all those decades of rap when it is readily available on YouTube to see the black artists of the past.

But if rap.does get taken over, black folk done did that on purpose; to sell out and make cheap hits for quick money over love of the artform.
