At what point do you say Lamar Jackson is a running back that can throw and not a legit Quarterback?

Lamar Jackson over the last two years has averaged 17 completions and 195 passing yards per game on 65% completion percentage.

Hall of Fame QB Terry Bradshaw averaged 12 completions and 167 passing yards on 52% completion during his career.
Hall of Fame QB Bob Griese averaged 12 completions and 155 passing yards on 56% completion during his career.
Hall of Fame QB Roger Staubach averaged 13 completions and 173 passing yards on 57% completion during his career.
Hall of Fame QB Fran Tarkenton averaged 15 completions and 191 passing yards on 57% completion during his career.
Hall of Fame QB George Blanda averaged 14 completions and 190 passing yards on 48% completion during his 7-year peak as a starter.
Hall of Fame QB Bart Starr averaged 9 completions and 125 passing yards on 57% completion during his career.
Hall of Fame QB Joe Namath averaged 14 completions and 197 passing yards on 50% completion during his career.
Hall of Fame QB Johnny Unitas averaged 13 completions and 190 passing yards on 55% completion during his career.

It's not like this is ancient history - all of these guys played well into the 1970s and some even 1980s.

Do you ever hear that Bradshaw/Griese/Staubach/Tarkenton/Blanda/Starr/Namath/Unitas weren't really quarterbacks cause they didn't complete enough passes? If not, then I don't want to hear jack shyt now that a Black QB is doing WAY more than they ever did.

In the 1975 Super Bowl, Terry Bradshaw went 9-14 for 96 yards. Not for one quarter, for the entire fukking game.

He somehow managed to win cause in that same game Fran Tarkenton went 11-26 for 102 yards and 3 picks.

Both of these men are in the Hall of Fame and usually ranked as among the top 20-25 quarterbacks of all time.

nah that boy got darts, his oc is just trash. i mean i get the system, but you have to modify it every season in the nfl, at this level they figure your system out fast. kyle murray has a system built around him but they tweak it every season. they have him hitting deep routes way more often now.

Murray can understand the playbook and don't need to be spoon fed shyt. He only runs when he has to. Murray isn't a running back.

Sure, he's had times where he hasn't looked great and has looked "exposed" like almost EVERY other QB has at some point in their career. However, his OC has not really done him any favors. A larger portion of the blame for the Ravens should go towards the coaching, and not towards Jackson.

He legit has running back numbers.

Vick and Randall Cunningham set the standard for running QB's, but Jacksons rushing attempts dwarfs their best years. He's basically running the wildcat offense on every play.

And when Kordell has more passing attempts than you in a season, multiple times.... that speaks to the quality of your passing skills.

There's a thin line between being a scrambling QB and a pure running back. He almost had 200 rushing attempts in a season :scusthov:
I was wrong. And I’m upping this thread because I deserve to be negged for being this wrong :snoop:

Jackson deserves his flowers. I’m right most of the time, but I will admit when I’m wrong :manny:

You weren't necessarily wrong, he's just gotten that much better. Lamar from 3 years ago to now, is like a different player. His game control is All-Time elite now, the way he's able to manipulate defenses, his ability to hit passes at every level...

He's night and day a better player. Kudos to the people who saw the signs and saw him becoming this...

I was wrong because i didnt think he'd be a successful NFL quarterback. I was definitely wrong...
