Everytime a merger happens I think about some episodes of the 'Outer Limits'. In some of these episodes, multiple corporations don't exist.

i got ATT for phone and internet, it isn't the fastest but it's reliable and i've never gotten a letter from them about copyright shyt they pretty much let you do whatever you want
