Apparently she wrote some “manifesto” many years ago completely shytting on and burying Joshi wrestling so she’s been persona non grata over there ever since. That’s about all I know of the back story.
She was like 5 years into her career at the time (and known for her stiff, hard-hitting style) and called out the status quo and motioned for the improvement of the industry.
The funny thing is like... there's nothing WRONG with what she said or her demands (Especially since many who followed her adopted the same style she was campaigning for), but in a society and culture that values conformity, age, and seniority... yeah. People were HOT that this rookie had the nerve to overstep her bounds like this, and essentially bury their industry by pointing out the very blatant and obvious flaws.
