Watch one those bullets hit some child playing.the bullets must come back down. Part of the reason I take my ass inside during New Year's Eve
Mythbusters addressed that, and apparently its very unlikely that a falling bullet will kill you...
But this only applies to bullets fired straight up at a 90 degree angle.
