Lol. Like it's REALLY good imo. It's not perfect, but to say the shyt is "TRASH!" and absolutely not worth praising is disingenuous. I'm a Sony stan and even though I'd say the combat is not as smooth as GOT, the shyt is serviceable. If the combat was like Ghosts of Tsushima it'd be easily the goat Shinobi/Samurai game.

This game is making me realize how fun GoT gameplay was. Like @Fatboi1 said, this is serviceable. But something about the combat on GoT had you pulling up on everyone like

Maybe Yasuke is on that type of time but I haven't unlocked him yet

I just got to Yasuke, and unfortunately I do agree with some of the reviews. They gimped him too much in order to seperate him from Naoe. Like at least give him a grappling hook as well. I'm on a rooftop and this guy can't climb a ledge that is just an inch above his head?

So far he's great at steamrolling through ground level enemies, but it's annoying to have to switch to Naoe just to get all the collectibles.

Yeah, servicable is about the right word for it. Or at least for the combat. Actually, for most of the non-stealth gameplay elements and graphics really. Aesthethically, is one of the best looking games out there. Playing it, and it's...straight.

It's a cool, solid game tho. Like a high 7 or light 8/10. If anyone wants to push it a a good half a point in either direction, I wouldn't be mad at them none. I'd say the combat is just barely better than Witcher 3. It does makes me re-realize and appreciate just how damn smooth and fluid Ghost of Tshushima's combat was tho. Oh, music is kinda underrated tho.

I really do aim to see it through, but Ionno if I will for certain, since it still seems an enormous game.

To be fair, I haven't even unlocked Yasuke yet, nor other weapons (about to get the Kurisama in my next mission). It takes a lot to get a lil bit in this game IMO, due to how exhaustive they make these games, I suppose. I'm like 14 hours in and am only just to this point. Probably doesn't help it any of how they lock off tiers of new abilities for each category. But yeah, knowing of the other weapons on top of that, I ain't gone hold you, you liable to be right about it being that much better than TW3 combat, for sure.

I've never gone to AC and thought nor expected the benchmark for combat. This isn't GoW, For Honor or Soulsborne. Combat is the in the same vein a s Origins ( prioritized dodge ), Odyssey ( prioritized block ). With the added benefit of acrobatics. If the argument is they've not innovated then that's an L , its more than serviceable.

Your post was didn't make sense. You brough up Witcher 3. Yeah the combat was trash, but so was Skyrim. Too old ass games that still get hella props today.

Just added some upgrades to the hideout with Tomiko.

Combat obviously isn't Sekiro/GoT, but it's good enough. Naoe isn't meant to fight like the Wolf. He was a samurai...she's a shinobi/assassin-type.

Fighting with her is like being a cat. Stalk prey and then ambush. If you run in there on some Jin Sakai-shyt, you'll probably get wrecked, especially early. Take your time and explore. Don't try to speed run because there's too much content for that shyt.
