Assassin's Creed Rogue is the game you want. you play as Templar it came out on the PS3 and Xbox360,PC.

That doesn't technically count since Shay was an Assassin in origin. He's more of a traitor than an actual Templar. Even the beginning parts of ACIII with Haytham were more Templar-centric and executed better too.

Besides, playing as a Templar doesn't work with the open-world formula since it doesn't go with the Templar's philosophy or their way of doing things. A true Templar game would require a complete gameplay overhaul (essentially a new game entirely) to even view things from their "perspective".

They tried that I don't think it sold well
I recall a Rogue. I didn't play it but saw the first half hour of gameplay. It seemed more like a stop gap between Black Flag and Unity because of the new consoles.

As long as the story isn't written half-assedly it could be fine. I feel the Templars are just as important to understand as the Assassins are given that we're supposed to take at face value that there bad. Honestly the creation of The Hidden Ones was a fluke. If Bayek didn't decide to put in work the Templars would have gone ahead unimpeded.

I think I've finished every location now. Now I'm seeing how far they let you fly Senu away from you. My first go was 6.5km from a sync point in Memphis to the lighthouse in Alexandria. Now I'm going from the lighthouse to somewhere in the desert at the bottom. But I figure if I could make that first trip then they'll legit let you fly the length of the map.

It does count. Shay was an assassain for bout 5 minutes then joined the Templars..

Agreed. However, Ubisoft would have to ultimately take writing and crafting a world for the Templars as seriously as they do the Assassins. Unfortunately, they don't take much risks these days in regards to how consumers would respond. This is why we don't see much MD progression or many non-white protagonists. Then to add to that, you would have to put money into crafting a whole new style different from AC. It just wouldn't be in their interest for a number of reasons.

Though that isn't to say it's impossible from a narrative perspective. Titles like ACI, ACIII, ACIV, and Unity dip a bit into the moral complexity of the whole thing and most times have you questioning on who the 'good guys' really are, and what really is "true" in a seemingly never-ending war.

Once again, it doesn't. He was with the Assassins for eight years. We just saw the tail end of everything. He was more traitor than a full fledged Templar.

Haytham or even Charles Lee would be better descriptions, honestly.

But, I rather not let this delve into a Rogue discussion.

Edward's outfit made it into the game, brehs. :blessed:

Avengers compound
Bayek is done I feel. He served his purpose in the story and I think Altair did the same.

I'm almost certain Layla is sticking around another game or two given the modern day bits at the end. They're also in the cave with Aya's mummy and Layla had mentioned being able to get memories from incomplete DNA so that opens up the possibility for a few more missions with Aya/Amunet if they don't make that DLC for Origins. Also the modern day parts said they're going to Alexandria so we might get them pulling up some Greek assassins or something.

I kind of would like the assassins to find some Templar DNA so we can see things from their side. Clearly they've been scheming since before the assassins were created. If Ubisoft was really trying to run game on us they'd alternate years on Templars and assassins, but that's just how I feel :manny:
Assassins Rogue was so slept on:wow:

I missed that pyramid near Krokodilopolis, now I've cleared every location. I'm down to 4 papyrus puzzles left to solve - the 3 in the green mountains areas and the one near the Appolonia lighthouse. They've been easy so far but the Appolonia one is giving me trouble.

I assume it should be in or around that shipwreck southeast of the lighthouse. But I've been up and down that thing and still haven't stumbled upon it. Unless it's close to the lighthouse for some reason.

The problem is the rewards. I got 3 of the same legendary hunter bows and several other duplicates. If I hadn't have been selling weapons I don't use then everything would have been a duplicate. On the plus side the loot is scaled to your level so everything I've found has been level 40.

Solved that puzzle. It was nowhere near where I thought. There's some extraneous information there.
