how can i learn anything from your dumb ass when you thought he was driving initially and actually believe he was doing 120mph in a cheap sentra with 5 bodies.
so what he sipped and tweeted and allowed his friend to blow red lights at a high speed.
stfu like you even know what really happened and you THINK OUR CULTURE HAD A ROLE IN IT.
get off your faux moral horse.

You don't think culture had a role in it? Where'd you think he got the idea of saying YOLO or sipping lean :ohhh: You got kids all around you posted up on WSHH doing stupid sh1t and you think it's a "moral high horse" to point out that their behavior is problematic and motivated by attention seeking behavior

People have been getting fukked up and doing stupid shyt while citing being "Punk Rock" or being a "Rock Star" forever. Being "hardcore" has nothing to do with one single culture and it's not unique to Hip Hop at all.

And it doesn't coincide with what you were saying on this very page

This is not something unique to the culture of Hip Hop so don't try to place blame on it. People abuse pills and liquid codeine with out being die hard Hip Hop fans.

YOLO = Being "PUNK ROCK" = being a "Rock Star" = HARDCORE

Are you being purposefully obtuse? I didn't say it's "hip hop" culture. But it's the messages in pop culture right now. If you don't think fewer people would be sipping codeine if rappers hadn't been talking about it I don't know what to tell you. I don't see the point of your rock analogy.. if you started doing cocaine or heroin cause of rock stars that's cultural messaging too

Are you trying to purposely be over the top? You are breaking down human tendencies and society because some idiot tweeted YOLO while drunk driving and apply it to just this moment in time? It is not in pop culture 'right now' it has been apart of the culture since before you or I were born.

People have been abusing all sorts of drugs long before rappers talk about it. In fact popping E and doing Molly is something that was around FOREVER before rappers started to talk about it on the regular. Rappers were not the first people to abuse codeine either. So no I think people abuse drugs just the same as they always have whether a rapper talks about it or not. There wasn't rappers in the 60s so yeah.....

yeah but rappers create what marketers would call a multiplier effect. It spreads something out if its regular bubble into wider consciousness. I'm not saying the music creates behavior but it does trends in a two relationship with the society. Why were people wearing baggy jeans in the late 90s and those same people are wearing fitted now? It's cultural mediation between the arbitrars of 'cool' and general behavior.

You're essentially creating a counterfactual by saying this dude could just have been sipping whiskey and drifting for some other reason. That's fine but he could also not be celebrating on any intoxicant or dumb catchphrase at all

On reflection, I kinda get what you're saying, but I just have a very dim view of sipping lean in general (compared to smoking weed etc.) so I guess that's what prompted my point

Drake's shyt is language, not actions.
It's not like Drake went out and jumped from a building and said that's yolo:ing.

But somehow it's turned out to be what nohomo was for saying homo shyt, yolo is for doing dumb shyt.

:aicmon:
stop using big words to prove a point you dont have.

u never smoked weed and went on a road wit your boys and sped??
i never drove drunk, but i assume its the same concept as speeding whether being under the influence or not.
your views are dim to begin with, regardless of you not being a sipper.
stfu already

you dont even know wtf was really in any of their systems to begin with
