At this point I still havent taken a picture of or with this nikka cus I didn't wanna look corny but thats besides the point. :beli:


So we get off the freeway and pulloff on a side street and stop.. Now mind you, its afternoon time in the spring, so its good weather, bright and sunny out. Fifs driver in the BP pulls up behind us, gets out and pops the trunk. Fif gets out and a minute later, comes back to the old school and goes "Rod, put this on..." :birdman:

MANNNNNN this nikka throws me a bulletproof vest, a XXL black g-unit t-shirt to put on over it, and a black g-unit hat. Im like, mannnnnnnnnn I'm tryna sign to a record label not a gang nikka!! (I said this inside not out loud) I grabbed the shyt all cool like "fasho my nikka where we goin?" :ld:

He's like "My hood"... :smugfavre: I'm like "ight cool".... :mjcry:

So now Im rocking a damn vest, rolling in the passenger seat with 50 Cent, in a droptop funk flex lowrider, with the top down, headin straight to Southside jamaica queens in broooooad daylight bumpin G-Unit Radio 22 HELLLLA LOUD... Im hellllllllllla sad but my pokerface is on a trilllionn. Halfway there this nikka look over at me and says
"You scared lil nikka??" :shaq:

Im like "nawwwwww nikka I aint trippin... I'm rollin with a real nikka right??" We started laughin.. :heh:

My laughs were really cries for help as I didn't know this nikkas intentions lol... Nahhh but the shyt was intense. Im texting my nikkas the whole time tellin them I'm might die in a bit and if I do at least I went out on top. Whatever that means....


So we're mobbin through Southside now, flexin, bumpin an unreleased G-Unit tape hella loud, nikka are instantly rcognizing Fif since the top was down and I'm sure Im gonna get popped in the head at any moment. The vest seems hella pointless at this moment but its better than nothing I guess... Im wondering why the fukk is this nikka stopping at these red lights, nikkas running up to the car and shyt screamin FIF!! FIF!!! WHAT UP MY nikka!!! Helllla love from the hoood from all directions.. Im just hopin theres just not one stupid young nikka who would try to get some suicide stripes and swiss chees the car up.... :whoa:

After circling the hood for about 10 minutes we pull up to a crib and hop out.. Fif runs in the house and tells me to chill outside... Im like ightttttt man am i cool? :wtf:

He just chuckles and dips inside... MANNNNNNN I SWEAR I turned around and shook up with like 2-3 nikkas who were family who assured me I was safe cuz this was Fifs hood and I'm with the general... I swear to you when I turned around 5 minutes later the WHOOOOOOLE BLOCK WAS FLOOOODED WITH nikkaS and Im like wowwww this shyt is crazy!! ALLLLLL LOVE TOO.. nikkas came with that sneaky re-assurance that it was all love and we were out there minglin, choppin it up and just really kickin it with family, friends, fans, etc.. Felt like home out there... No nikka can say Fif cant go back to the hood to me after that.. I would slap them nikkas cus I knew first-hand that nikka had no issues there... I can tell the story better than I type but hopefully you get the point... This was an epic moment on this journey man.. Fif is a real ass nikka, down to earth and just downright genuine.. Thats why nikkas have no choice but to respect him. Im not proof reading this shyt so I hope this came out coool...


Gotta hit the studio so I'll hit yall with another story later or tomorrow

Soooooooooooooooooooo About my nikka Mazi... I hit up my guy Scenario to shoot the video for "Bump My shyt" and he had setup some locations to knockout some scenes.. The first location was at a photo/video studio in Brooklyn and the second location was still being locked in.... So I rollup with my boys and a few models and settle in at the studio. The stylist arrives with my wardrobe and I get dressed to get ready to shoot the first scene....

Im finally dressed and all of the cars arrive for the outside scene... I go out and we start shooting....

Now I'm on the 3rd or 4th take and the whole time I'm shooting my phone starts blowing the fukk up.. I'm not paying any attention cuz I'm in video mode and I usually don't have my phone on me anyway so I throw it to my boy... So I continue shooting... This is right outside in plain sight, right off of the street in Brooklyn so there's people walking by, stopping to watch, take photos etc... So by the 8th take my boy goes yoooooooo Rod u gotta take this calll!! Its MAZI!!!!

So I'm wondering whats up so I grab the phone like "Yooooo Mazi wuttup my nikka everything good???""

Mazi goes, "Rod, what fukk you doing?? You tryna get killed out here nikka?!!! You know where the fukk you at??"" :damn:

I go, "nikka what you talking about Im shootin a video right now!" :whoa:

He goes Yeah nikka you shootin a video right around the corner from Jimmy Henchmans hood, nikkas are talkin, them nikkas might try to come through and make n example outta yo ass!! " :damn:

Nowwwww Im like ohhh shyttt, cus at this time, that situation that happened with Henchmans son had just went down maybe a week or two prior to this, and Im shootin a video right in his hood basically... :huhldup:

Mazi goes, "Im on the way nikka, go inside, be there in 5..." :birdman:

So Im like oh shytttt, I almost put myself in a Jam! WTF.. Now I dont know these NYC hoods so Im none the wiser, Im heated that all these new york ass nikkas didnt know or at least be aware as to where we were at.. So 5 minutes later Mazi calls back like "Nikka come outside lets roll out.." :smugdraper:

No lie, I walk outside and theres a 6-7 car caravan with mazi leading the way in a Maserati Coupe... :banderas:

His boy hops out of the Passenger seat and I hop in.. Mazi yells at all the nikkas outside telling them theres no reason why they got Fif's new nikka out in BK while the heat was still on over this Henchman situation.. :ufdup:

He says to get Scenario on the phone so he can holla at him.. He starts explaing to Scenario how he fukked up and needs to be more on point if he's gonna fukk with the Unit.. Then he tells him to meet us at the Dumbout studios so we can shoot the rest of the video and map out other locations as well.. The shots with the black background were all shot at Mazi's dumbout studio..

Yeah thats Banks lil bro and Trav in the 2nd shot.... Cool nikkas, much respect to the squad....

So yeah we finished shooting at the studio then at a few other locations that day and the next day and we had the squad on deck in case anything went down...

Mazi came through in the clutch and held it down.. We went on to record 5 joints, 2 of them were with French Montana.. I'll post the vids below. In his short time rocking with the team he was hella influential with slang, style and overall confidence. Much respect to him and his squad for the support... Check the vids below

yo stories is off the chain.I never heard too many stories from somebody that been on the inside unless i read a book (rollin with dr dre).i heard a few from a producer that worked with Spice 1 but nothing on the level of 50cent.These stories got me wanting to find some more HipHop books to read!

Did 50 try to mold you into West Coast Gangsta rapper or you met him already on that gangsta sound?I ask because after a wile your sound changed up from g shyt to techno/club shyt.

Did 50 try to make you lift weights like he did MOP?
