I would check the wiring. Had this same issue and happened to check the fuse holder leading into the amp and the damn positive wire was barely even in the damn box...seems that it was causing arcing.
Bad install smh...and possibly too small of a gauge wire. Everyone wants to buy those cheap ass copper clad aluminum wire kits from Walmart or autozone but don't realize yout have to go double the size of the wire just to be safe. Using 10 gauge wire on a 50a load amplifier :mjlol:

Naw, I purchased the equipment myself and had this place my friend recommended to install it.

Was 0/1 power and a 250A fuse going into a Kicker 1500.1. They just did a shytty job on the install.

I've browsed many forums that have been littered with terrible car audio advice

Now I'm here to help

I first installed a stereo at 14 with my dad and been hooked since.

I work IT full time and some time consult at a high end shop out here in NYC

Looking to upgrade sound? Want to better your current set up? What to know current deals?

Ask away..
Ever work on e39 or e38 beamers, and if so how do you take out the stock shyt without going to the manufacturer or dealership ?

MY DAILY DRIVER IS A 09 TAURUS X. I WANT TO UPGRADE THE FACTORY SPEAKERS. NOT TRYING TO SPEND MORE THAN 600ISH. DON'T KNOW IF I WANT TO REPLACE THE STOCK RADIO HEAD BUT IF YOU CAN FIND ME SOMETHING DECENT I MIGHT BITE.

I NEED MY CARGO SPACE SO UNLESS THERE IS A GOOD WAY TO MOUNT SUBS UNDER THE FRONT SEATS OR IN THE STORAGE PANELS OF THE CARGO AREA, I JUST WANT SOME GOOD SPEAKERS. I KNOW VERY LITTLE ABOUT CAR AUDIO.

Just replace it if its not under warranty. Training to find someone to fix it would cost you double a door speaker.

I have no experience with something like that. Is it something that can be youtubed and done by an amateur ?
