We need to value our resources more globally

We are stuck in this instant gratification and lack of understanding the true position our people are in.

I am guilty of this too - to an extent especially with toys. In my mind, unless you have control over all of your resources, I don't think we should be giving away our resources beside for basic needs honestly but a part of us feels like we are missing out on the human experiences keeping up with everyone else.

Our people see opening a nail shop and small stores of that caliber beneath them

This video was one of the most ignorant things that I have seen in my life for quite some time. What was it that occurred prior to filming where the entire shop pulled out sticks to beat their customer, another customer had to be restrained and sprayed with a poisonous chemical? I think it’s completely out of line for any human behavior to be displayed like that over five dollars in 2018.

What’s even more disheartening is that these types of occurrences are not foreign/strange when you grew up in a economically challenged neighborhood where a trivial amount of money is enough to damage your existence, the bodies of the women assaulted, and business for the shop owners.

The shops location according to the video is in the heart of Flatbush. I lived over there for a short time. It’s terrible to still see this kind of stuff going on.

I use to go to this beauty supply store to buy a durag and wave builders. And it was like the store workers just wanted my money and wanted me to HURRY to GTFO the store. WTF are you talking about?? You don't have to pay for bad service. My dad did this racist white guy a roofing job, long story short the guy didn't want to pay.
