Lol so then it shouldnt be an issue then.. bytching about black entertainers not mentioning other ppl of color. Can't have it both ways... want us to mention you but are as quiet as a church mouse until it becomes a national headline? That's weak and cowardly..

Blacks have a longer history in Hollywood than most other minority groups that's why we have more recogniton in Hollywood than those other groups.
It's so fukking embarassing. From minstrel shows all the way to slavery movies with white saviours; black people have gone through shyt and continued to fight for recognition and the telling of their stories. Asians don't do this, because they don't want to upset the status quo, they don't want to be seen as "uppity" or "complaining". Did Asians take it by storm about the Oscars until we did? We have a lame network such as BET, solely for the fact that blacks wanted to be in films as well, but only got relegated to bullshyt roles and depicitons. White people said "fukk off and go make your own network". And then when they saw that we were funny, had nice bodies, bla, bla. They stripped it and took elements that they wanted to churn out movies and shows in hollywood. But you hear people talking about BET as if black people just wanted segreation in that. Why don't Asian people complain?

Hispanics and Asians have FAR more reason to be upset with the Oscars and the film industry as a whole when it comes to representation, far more. You don't see us incessantly whining about it, it's not that we even give that much of a fukk about the lack of diversity in the media, it's that everyone else does but even then yall still act like we don't even exist.

Asians are lazy as hell at standing up for themselves. The avg black is on the opposite socio economic ladder as the average asian in this country, yall have no excuse to not stand up for yourselves in the entertainment industry

Just like in the past you mofukkas suck whites off and let them shyt on you, while trying to reap the benefits of blacks tendency to actually stand up for themselves

Just want to say that not all asians look up to whites or down on other races. We have our bullshyt that we have to deal with regarding racism. Personally I think our own communities should speak up for themselves more and not stress ourselves to death following the stereotypes that white people invented so they can try to control us.

Anyways race tension is pretty high right now and if people are pissed I get it. I'm not looking to be black or latino or anything I'm just looking to be a person. At the end of the day that's not up to anyone else, but I'm conscious of other people's struggles and make an effort to not be part of the issue. Aside from that I'll stay out of it.

She backed all the way down :mjlol:

It'll be the fukking day when I see a prominent Asian person in America go on TV and say "White supremacy is a problem". But you get all types of black people saying it, boldly and without mincing words. And we fight amongst ourselves over it, call each other c00ns, uncle toms, lazy, etc. But we grow stronger because we don't back down. We get change however small because we say "We're not going home until you hear us". Ming Na has a show which she's prominent on, Agents of Shield. She has a huge fanbase, as does Jeremy Lin. Why haven't they spoken about white supremacy? Why are they only doing it now because a black man made a joke about Asians? You people are as see through as they come.

This is so fukking annoying, it a form of white supremacy and internalized anti blackness when pocs expect or feel entitled to overt black visability. No no no just stop. She is coming from a place of entitlement, she low key is offended by blacks speaking out for themselves because internally she feel she is better than black people.

Case in point, again. If you think that the conversation about diverity in the film industry has no positive outcomes for all minorities; then you're lost. When black people marched against white supremacy *first* before any white people even joined in with them, did the civil rights act grant only blacks equality or everyone? This is all you people do, downplay and laugh at black people fighting against these problems; and then turn around and act as if you got their on your own and say "Black people love to complain".
:russell:It's obvious who the priority groups are in these so called conversations about diversity, blacks, women and fakkits, rest of us don't factor. This time around the priority groups don't even have a legit gripe while those of us who are after thoughts do. Over it.

I belive you on that, I do. But the attitude I see from the Asian community is just as bad. Silence is just as powerful as noise. And I can't recall the last prominent Asian person that stuck their head out and said "Black lives matter" or "White supremacy is a real and serious problem". No offense, but half the time I have a hard time differentiating between white people and Asians. It's like you guys take all their little pats on the head, but never speak up others until it affects you negatively and you realize that just because you share a bed with someone, doesn't mean that you're married. You're just a hoe. And they're using you for their own benefit and could care less about you. I look at the story of Peter Ling and can't believe the contirved and twisted argument that a lot of Asians put forth. "Why are you punishing him for killing a black man, you wouldn't punish a white man for that." That should never, ever be the argument in social improvement.

What is the fake out rage about blacks being being under represented at the Oscars going to do for asians & hispanics? Reaping the benefits my ass. This time next year some we shall overcome movie will be scooping up at the Oscars again and we'll still be on the outs. Bu-bu-but asians open stores in our neighborhoods:mjlol:This whole Oscars controversy is bullshyt.

I wasn't speaking solely about the Oscars. I said racial equality. Meaning racial equality as a whole. At work places, at in the government, in schools, in law enforcement, etc.
