Pretty sure AAs medium is well higher than dominicans, immigrants are not making close to 38k, the dominicans that are, are second generation who have the same opportunities as every other americans and speak english fluently. I'm not even american but even I know the african american medium vs the dominican medium is higher. In Dominican republic the average salary and I'm not even kidding look it up, is $1,350 a year. uneducated lower class dominicans instantly make more than educated dominicans in the republic as soon as they touch down on U.S soil. Thats the reason they leave, and for their children to make 30k a year. Instead of looking down on others, how about those dominicans go back home and fix their own country so that their medium back home can become at least half of the AA medium income.

Just for the record though, there are some Asian groups (Lao, Khmer, Hmong) whose communities in the US are plagued with the same social ills that are commonly associated with blacks, Latinos, and Native Americans.
