it's insecure because it's the same thing as idiotic white dudes who think black men are gonna snatch up all their women. Only reason black women probably feel better about being told they look good from a white man is because they don't usually get compliments from white men. If someone who usually ignores you praises you it's gonna mean more than someone who says it all the time, this is how all women work.
