You are all missing the point: this Asian dude doesn't understand the mechanisms that have been put in place against blacks since the 1619 slave trade created commercial capitalism and transformed over time to keep us as low wage, inferior people in the socioeconomic sense...he doesn't understand; its not as easy as "we don't stick together"...we have been subverted over and over and over again...we do stick together and we practice agency, but oppression works to destroy our agency...the Asian is lost and needs to learn black history and actually live in a black working class area to understand...

I understand what you're saying but. Lets take Japan for example. America decimated that country in WW2, stayed in the country and didn't allow them to freely trade or develop a military for 60 years...technically to present, they still asking permission to freely move in the world stage. You look at what they were after those bombs dropped:

60 years of quietly building and planning. All this while under foreign boots.

I know it's not the same as our journey. The point is this happened in 60 years, from nuclear fallout.
I say we can do it also, but faster, and better. The Japanese are a disciplined people who lead pretty long lives in a majority "secular" society; they threw religion in the bushes, put aside the hate, and went to fukking work.

We can do this shyt too, but only faster, and better. How? Take Japans top three exports:
  1. Vehicles: US$134 billion (21.4% of total exports)
  2. Machines, engines, pumps: $117.7 billion (18.8%)
  3. Electronic equipment: $95.6 billion (15.3%)
You want to know what...let's take hip hop revenue globally Forbes listed it as a 10 billion dollar industry just last year. That is of course conservative, as the execs announcing actual sales would piss off the artists...who don't control thier music. That's minus live shows, physical sales, OTHER black genres RnB, Pop etc. NBA total league revenue $5.18b, NFL $13b,...this is just the entertainment sector. Take ownership of our commodity and sell it, and most importantly invest back into our community.

Have you read the history of Japan and how they were able to rebuild after WW2? It's not as simple as "they worked hard and rebuilt it."

That's the main issue black people of great means have. They don't invest back into its people. It's a double edge sword because theyre not doing their part in providing the human capital. Jason Black said something profound but I have to paraphrase, majority of black people are economically useless. Black people aren't highly skilled. Nothing to do with being degreed but high skills. The technical know how. They have to take their money from others and bring it back home and keep it there. Hip-hop is counterproductive since it celebrates consumerism of other people's products. Yves Saint Laurent, Gucci, LV, Bentley, Range Rover, etc. Nothing black.

Yeah, I have.
I have stood next to a concrete wall where the flash burn of humans are still seared into the wall from when the bombs went off. I have lived there for 4 years, and observed in person how they move, and operate, with a foreign force looking over their shoulder. I don't have to go into the complexities of that specific peoples dynamics of culture to make the point. shyt is simple, after you throw tribalism, anti-intellectualism, and religion in the bushes.

Have you?:feedme:

Exactly, my breh. Did you know that hip hop music has been/is the fastest growing music market globally? If we can program ourselves to spend capital away from ourselves, then the inverse is demanded once we have other industries to market via the same medium(Black brands clothing, commodity, etc) That would be concise example of flipping the proverbial script breh. If only I could lead my people breh.:wow:

He gave the exact problem we have today, bottom line, blacks don't stick together.

He understands our problem yes but also understands how fukked up white people are and that gives me some joy that someone else knows it and black people aren't crazy for thinking it

You do realize that what he described would be Asian supremacy right? He just admitted that their plan is to replace white supremacy with Asian supremacy and that black people don't figure into that equation.

You omitted the most important factor. The US provided capital and funds to rebuild. The same with Germany. The cacs here won't give us anything to work with. Crackers ain't even start completely from scratch. Everybody else got a leg up to get their shyt going. Japanese mofos held here got a check afterwards. We didn't get 40 acres and mule and fukked it up. We didn't get a stimulus package to start casinos like natives. Our generation and the generations before got jobs and started having fun. Idk why but they are. Life is a fukking party.

I see your point. My hesitation with agreeing fully is the fact that; I refuse to watch one slave master getting overthrown for another while watching from the side lines. In this regard, the chinese and blacks are on equal footing "tired of the status quo", the difference is that the chinese are lined up and already walking. We still talking about the fukkboi sitting on the throne like it's breaking news. Or arguing over whether the fukkboi god gonna save us specifically, or somebody elses god told us to wait the suffering out, or if lightskin nikkas can play with darkskin nikkas, or trying to get rich fast in pocket, but dead broke in mind, etc.

Agreed.

And I'm well tempted to put "what I'm owed" on the backburner because I realize at this juncture that shyt is a fruitless battle. We didn't get none of that and still we rise competitively with the rest of those groups. Talent, skill, and effort; our best rank on par to above theirs. We are living breathing commodities breh. We need our own super wealthy to jump start sectors, companies, colleges, etc....and from that we have a place to point and say "we came to collect our check breh," That money feeds back into a black economy. Get that money now and we giving that shyt right back in consumer goods that we don't own, cars we don't make, and schools that teach us lies.

I haven't read the whole thread but I will say this, in China at least and in Korea you have the Uber rich and you have peasants. They come to America to get rich and take care of each other. The people that live across the street from me live 9 deep in a 5 bedroom house and own a restaurant, a cleaners, and a nail shop. The US damn near begs them to come here and gives them money to do so. We don't have that privilege, banks will lend to them, universities actively seeking them out and because of that, they already have several legs up on us here. It's a known fact that anything we as black people get has to be grown from the root. You have no idea how many people I have met and gone to school with say I'm the first in my family to finish college, that's because the education system sucks for blacks and the economic system sucks for us also. Not to contradict myself but we do have lots of opportunities here but the civil rights struggle wasn't that long ago. Hell, in my father's lifetime he couldn't even go to a white school so he went to a hbcu and if it wasn't for a scholarship he wouldn't have been able to because his dad was a coal miner and couldn't afford it. My mom as well, here father was a steel worker. There were no white collar jobs for blacks back then. Now we have a generation of white collar blacks that can send their kids to school but there's still a big divide in terms of education. Simply put, Asians value education and teach things like economics and so forth. We still have to work twice as hard just to have the same opportunities as whites here and have to work even harder to get anywhere. Basically we have to take it upon ourselves to educate our own and lay a foundation that the next generation can build upon. Believe it or not, it's happening but it's going to take time. Our mindset is either flaunt what little we have or show whites that we're not all bad and a few that want to leave a legacy. We need everyone to get to the point where we want to leave a legacy and then our race will prosper more. That legacy has to start from the home and in our schools. Teach them while their young, hold trifling parents responsible and let's do like the billionaire said. Take what they did, learn from it and perfect it, they gave us the blueprint, make sure we're ok first, build our own shyt and we can't afford to break bread until we're all seated at the same table.
