Based on most of the reports regarding an altercation backstage with Matt Hardy's wife on TNA's tour of the United Kingdom, Awesome Kong's time on Impact Wrestling was pretty much assumed to be up.

there was existing heat between the two stemming from Tweets Hardy's wife made about a wrestler no-showing an independent date and comments Kong made on a shoot interview. The incident ended with either Kong choking Sky, or just threatening her.
