hopefully the 1080p rip for last nights show is uploaded soon cause im interested in seeing where they go with show after the twist

i am glad they told us in the 1st episode rather than doing it as a cliffhanger in the season finale but its a huge letdown for me now knowing that the show takes place on earth instead of in space

i was hoping we would see some aliens or a new planet

mayn, I dunno if you will like it. I feel like they took an interesting premise that could have been about the people and just made weird stuff happen. Why they do that to that breh too. Black man always ends up suffering. Could have at least sent Viondra for him.

I didn't mind the twist, it was something I wasn't expecting and frames the show in a new light. After watching the whole thing, I'll drop some thoughts.

Positives

Jackie and her ass. Really didn't expect it be so good and for them to show it like that

The women on the show in general, all those cadettes in those outfits and Tricia Helfer. Even Norah and the snowbunny XO was knocking down

Interesting concept of the twist with

Taking the most gifted minds and having them work devoid of culture and ultimately leading to the development of someone like Krista

Negatives

I thought the show moved too fast in certain areas and I'm not sure how I feel about Krista yet.

They revealed her powers early and she already transfered dude to another planet. She knows the ship is fake, wouldn't she expose it to everyone else and she knows the doctor killed her sister

I don't think she quite knows what's happening, but I almost feel like they will try to haunt her, so to speak if they can't get her out of there. At least try. Thinking about it, they actually could make a decent show out of it. First send Jackie or Viondra to the other planet so they can repopulate with my nikka.

I could have swore I read somewhere that the Ascension producers were told early on this show wouldn't be picked up for a series so with that in mind I really don't get why they went with the ending they chose.

Yeah, the finale felt way too rushed and didnt have a really satisfying ending.

I thought the understanding was that if the show did well, it would have the potential to get picked up to series. The ratings for the 3 episodes were okay, not great but not terrible. Syfy has a ton of shows in development right now, not sure if they will decide to continue forward with the show.

Can't say I'm surprised, the ratings weren't great and the show was just okay for me.
