No, it's not misleading. Winning 7 games with no passing game is amazing.
That is not unprecedented at all. dikk Jauron took a Jim Miller led team to a 13-3 record. Todd Haley won a division with Matt Cassel at QB, John Fox won a division title and a playoff game with Tim Tebow as QB. Brian Billick won a divisuon title with Kyle Boller and a went 13-3 with a washed up Steve McNair, Jeff Fisher went 13-3 withh a washed up Kerry Collins..this is all of the top of my head. I could keep going

It’s about 3 cbs i can think of off the top of my head that was good, no pass rush or system help revis champ and Deion, I’m sure it’s a couple others but Samuel was a zone guy, and benefits from pass rush, trying front on bill to make it seem like it was pure skill is bs

Tony Dungy took a rookie Shaun King to within a drive of the Superbowl, Christian Ponder made the playoffs and won 10 games. Bill Parcells took Quincy Carter to the playoffs.
I'm sure most of these teams had elite backs and/or defenses

Asante was damn good player, but breh ain't Night Train Lane, Rod Woodson, PrimeTime, Ed Reed etc. Those brehs are gold jackets. A.S. is Hall of Very Good.

Belichick took an aging defense and shut down the K-Gun to the point where the Giants beat Buffalo with a backup QB and Ottis Anderson. Shut down the Greatest Show on Turf. Coach was gold jacket status before Asante even got to Foxboro.

Youre moving the goalposts, fam. You said winning 7 games without a passing game is not normal. You didnt mention any other aspect of the game. The Pats had a very good defense and special teams unit that year and they generally do.

The mutha****in BX
Definitely not true
Definitely true. He was considered elite in NE, when it was actually Bill's cover-2 scheme+their front 7 that made him look better

He went to Philly and started getting cooked on every double move.

He was a good zone corner and that's all

I'm not moving anything. You're rattling off teams without considering other phases of the game.

Coordinator achievements have nothing to do with headcoaching. Almost every HC was a great OC or DC somewhere. It means nothing. You said he was Hall of Fame bound. Based on what?? Is Grorge Seifert in the Hall? How about Norv Turner? Romeo Crennel? Charlie Weis? Ray Rhodes?? Dave Wannstedt? That SB25 performance by the NYG D was vastly overhyped. They didnt force a turnover and produce a sack. The NYG playef a legendary game if ball control possessing the ball for 40 minutes. If it wasnt for sone shytty clock management by Kelly at the end, it would be viewed a lot differently. The Redskins and Cowboys dominated that samw Bills offense without resorting to gimmicks.

If you cant admit that you were wrong, then we can agree to diaagree. You came in here acting like.winning 7 games with an imeffective passing game was some unprecedented achievemnt when many coaches have done better. I am pretty sure that the 2011 Broncos didnt have an elite RB or defense. Yet they won the division and beat the defending AFC champion in a playoff game. Look what Marty Schottenheimer did with the 2001 Redskins in his one year there? The 99 Liobs made the playoffs the year after Barry retired.
