As much as it pains me to admit it , Miles Teller came through and took Shia's lane.

Low key, people not saying it yet, but it looks to me like RDJ fell off again.
His character died in ironman, he finished out his sherlock contract he had during his mcu reign, and its been crickets ever since.
He was cast in Nolan’s upcoming film. I don’t think it’s RDJ falling off as much as it is him just not wanting to do anything at the moment. Dude is heavily eating off of them Marvel royalties.

shyt, I’d be acting the same way too. :wow:

I thought he was looking like a slightly more charismatic Ryan Gosling.
Na. In fact, they have 2 completely different styles. Ryan Gosling is more in that Brad Pitt/Cruise/Chris Evans even Ryan Reynolds category.

Miles Teller is more in that Dustin Hoffman/Pacino/Dinero category. He has a talent that doesn't require charm. He can just switch into a different character.

I see Jeremy Allen White heading in that direction as well. Both guys could replace Shia Lebeauf because they bring it to another level as far as acting.

Lol. Shia LaBeouf in Honey Boy shyts on anything Miles has done.
I thought whiplash was really good. Even in Tellers trash movies, that was because he was working with Trank, one of the worse directors in Hollywood history.

Damn these two cacs even look the same too :mjlol:

But Shia was a leading man. Teller is a supporting actor.

It was really Chris Pratt who took Shia's lane.

If not for his mental breakdown Shia right now would have his own Marvel franchise and a bunch of others.

I don’t see Teller holding his own in a film alongside Pitt and Bernthal without coming across as his usual, whiny self. It worked in Whiplash. Not too sure if that will fly in something like Fury for example.

That's crazy. I see the opposite. He's just been in some really really bad movies. If Shia took his roles, he wouldn't even have a career today, whereas, vice versa and I would've actually liked transformers just a little bit better.

Teller doesn’t take the creative risks that Shia is synonymous with. Teller just seemed to be going a traditional leading man route. They aren’t in the same lane at all.

Two different lanes. Miles has become your everyday leading man. Shia is more like a niche, indie actor at this point in his career.

Miles will get work because he is a consumate professional but Shias ceiling is higher imo.

He did it in Top Gun: Maverick.

Would disagree actually. I don't see miles teller doing most of the roles Shia has done and I don't see Shia convincingly doing most of what Miles has done. I think a better take could be Miles Teller has overtaken the lane Zac Efron was trying to walk down, kinda like how Emma Stone basically took Lindsay Lohan's spot in hollywood

What was the Disney original movie that Shia did? It was the one right after Evens Stevens, and it had everyone like "WHOA. This kid can really act."

Then he did Holes, and I was surprised how good it was. Disturbia/Rear Window took it to another level.

Damn shame what the Mouse does to these people.
