It does seem that way, doesn't it? Me, I grew up right off Poplar Grove and pretty much made it out OK. (Trying to get moms outta there now, but that's another story.) When I go back to visit moms, I still see the same cats - at least those still above ground - I literally grew up with, just hanging out, roaming the neighborhood, doing the same exact dang things they did however many years ago. I'm sure a couple of 'em have ventured into the stickup game, too. Makes me sad yet realize I'm at the same time.DC is not connected tho, people on the same street dont even know each other, while in baltimore everybody knows everybody cuz people typically stay in the same area forever. DC has way more people in and out of there so it gives jack boys anonimity. Chances are the person you rob on the street in DC lives in VA or MD. In Bmore, if you rob somebody, chances are they know someone who knows who did it. Plus in bmore, nikkas pack guns like schoolboys pack lunch. And nikkas walking on the street in bmore are usually broke. Everybody out there w/ any money has a car and drives even if its just to the corner store.
i remember when i was younger and my uncle picked me up from the greyhound station and took me to that gas station or 7-11 on pennsylvania and minnesota i think right before the bridge, it was the middle of july and like 2-3 am and some nikka walked in with a black hat on and a hoodie with the face, my uncle grabbed me and pulled me out of there and pulled off with the quickness he said son was about to rob the spotI agree to certain extent. But my point is in Bmore trouble doesn't seem to find you. In DC, trouble found you. When I was living in Minnesota ave. trouble found you. When I lived in Rhode Island age. Trouble found you. Even in uptown trouble found you. Didn't matter if you was minding your own business or not. My ma van been stole 3 times since midsummer at two different homes.
I never hear about car robberies in BMore.
